COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The brewery says its new beer, which features five varieties of different hops, imparts hints of grapefruit, with a floral note that recalls orange blossom. At 8.5% alcohol-by-volume, a light malt body and dry finish complement West Coast Double IPA’s bold hop profile. “This is an IPA that’s West Coast in style, which is fitting since the whole pilgrimage kicks of here in California in just a few weeks, said Ken Grossman, founder.”

This was a solid and aggressive IPA in both aroma and body. Quite tasty, though perhaps a little overly bitter in comparison with the fruity or floral notes.

Bottle split with Gail. Pours a clear gold with a large white head. Dusty citrus, spicy hops, a bit of musk. Medium bodied, spicy hops, sweet and sticky. Nice pungent grapefruit into the finish, spicy citurs lingering. Very nice.

Pours hazy golden-amber with a 2-finger white head. Aroma is entirely of citrus hops. Body is medium-to-full, with a moderate oiliness that lingers in the finish. Flavor of grapefruit hops with some biscuit malt underneath. Maybe some grapefruit peel as well.

Pours gold with a white head that quickly dissipates (Brussels Lace). Pleasant and fresh aromas: cereal, citrus. A quick flash of sweet and sour gives way to all bitter. Nice clean palate w/ a little stickiness. A solid offering.

Mine pours with a really big head. Aroma is some hops, some, well, decaying grass. Must be a bit old. Taste is decent - lots of citrus hops, some malt sweetness, ABV isn’t apparent. Aside from the bizarre pour, not bad at all.

This brew pours a hazy pale golden color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of tropical fruit, hops and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of floral hops, stone fruits and toasted malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

With Z, pours a nice shade of golden yellowish orange with a small white head. Nose is sweet deep delicious citrus, with very subtle pine. Taste has more pine and resin with bitter grapefruit. Finishes on the same tasting notes, with a hoppy bitter ending. Quaff Score 7 / 10

Bottle. Pours a golden orange with a white head and hoppy, grapefruity aroma. Taste is bitter hoppy, lots of grapefruit and resin with juicy citrus notes into the dry, bitter finish

24 ounce bottle from Hayduke that we had together over facebook chat. A big fluffy head leaves tacky lacing. A little haze in the honey golden beer. Aromas of pine and lesser citrus. Not a wonderful nose. Something a little unpleasant. The flavor is pretty much the same. Some caramel and pale malts for sweetness. Bitterness is moderate. The glass ended with tropical fruit. I liked this beer but it seemed to be a typical Double IPA whereas other Beer Camp beers have pushed style guidelines.

This is a 24 oz bottle shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Pours a dark gold with a large long-lasting white head and excellent lacing. The nose is cap pee with citrus and pine. The body is medium plus and the mouth feel is resinous and with a touch of alcohol burn. The flavor is caramel malts and tropical fruits. The finish is not real bitter but shows the fruit and I get apricot at the end. The is not really a classic west coast IPA but is good drinking.
