COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The brewery says its new beer, which features five varieties of different hops, imparts hints of grapefruit, with a floral note that recalls orange blossom. At 8.5% alcohol-by-volume, a light malt body and dry finish complement West Coast Double IPAís bold hop profile. ďThis is an IPA thatís West Coast in style, which is fitting since the whole pilgrimage kicks of here in California in just a few weeks, said Ken Grossman, founder.Ē

24oz bottle. Poured a clear golden color with a smaller sized head. Citrus, floral hops and pine. A bit bready. Lightly sweet with a medium bitter finish.

Mine pours with a really big head. Aroma is some hops, some, well, decaying grass. Must be a bit old. Taste is decent - lots of citrus hops, some malt sweetness, ABV isnít apparent. Aside from the bizarre pour, not bad at all.

This brew pours a hazy pale golden color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of tropical fruit, hops and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of floral hops, stone fruits and toasted malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

With Z, pours a nice shade of golden yellowish orange with a small white head. Nose is sweet deep delicious citrus, with very subtle pine. Taste has more pine and resin with bitter grapefruit. Finishes on the same tasting notes, with a hoppy bitter ending. Quaff Score 7 / 10

Bottle. Pours a golden orange with a white head and hoppy, grapefruity aroma. Taste is bitter hoppy, lots of grapefruit and resin with juicy citrus notes into the dry, bitter finish

24 ounce bottle from Hayduke that we had together over facebook chat. A big fluffy head leaves tacky lacing. A little haze in the honey golden beer. Aromas of pine and lesser citrus. Not a wonderful nose. Something a little unpleasant. The flavor is pretty much the same. Some caramel and pale malts for sweetness. Bitterness is moderate. The glass ended with tropical fruit. I liked this beer but it seemed to be a typical Double IPA whereas other Beer Camp beers have pushed style guidelines.

This is a 24 oz bottle shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Pours a dark gold with a large long-lasting white head and excellent lacing. The nose is cap pee with citrus and pine. The body is medium plus and the mouth feel is resinous and with a touch of alcohol burn. The flavor is caramel malts and tropical fruits. The finish is not real bitter but shows the fruit and I get apricot at the end. The is not really a classic west coast IPA but is good drinking.

Bottle. Pours out a moderate golden color with a medium sized off white head. Aroma is of lots of pine, evergreen, sweet/lightly bitter citrus and some bready sweet malts. Taste is much the same, some of the complexities of the hops do not carry over into the flavor, pine, light citrus fruits, a solid amount of sweet bready malts, some strange herbal notes, mild spice and something that seems out of place in the hops, but I just canít pin it.

From a 75 cl bottle shared at home. Pours a clear gold with a thick white head. Fresh lemony scent. Flavors of grapefruit and orange. Bitter finish.

Poured from a bottle it is a clear golden color with a slight head. The aroma is citrus and the taste is strong bitter flavor that ends with a white grapefruit sting

APPEARANCE - golden, turbid. NOSE - surprisingly underwhelming. The hops are in there, but no one added them to the end of the boil. FLAVOR - Good, but not great west coast style, but you can tell itís higher alcohol (double IPA). NOTES - Overall itís a bit underwhelming for itís reputation, rating and pedigree (i.e. Beer Camp).
