COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The brewery says its new beer, which features five varieties of different hops, imparts hints of grapefruit, with a floral note that recalls orange blossom. At 8.5% alcohol-by-volume, a light malt body and dry finish complement West Coast Double IPA’s bold hop profile. “This is an IPA that’s West Coast in style, which is fitting since the whole pilgrimage kicks of here in California in just a few weeks, said Ken Grossman, founder.”

24oz bottle. Poured a clear golden color with a smaller sized head. Citrus, floral hops and pine. A bit bready. Lightly sweet with a medium bitter finish.

Poured from 24 oz. bottle. Clear, golden color with a 4-finger off-white head and very good lacing. Aroma of cereal, citrus, mild pine, unripe guava and caramel. Taste of citrus, resin, mild tropical fruit and relatively sweet malt that helps balance all that hop bitterness. Medium body and medium/high carbonization. A very hoppy IPA with decent balance and nothing over the top. Hence, I'm not sure how well the "West Coast" moniker applies to the style here, but this is a right nice, although not exceptional, double IPA. I really wanted more intensity int the fruit and citrus. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Well carbonated, honey colored pour. Huge, healthy white head. It has a grassy aroma. Hop bitterness throughout.

Leicht Orange im Glas, feiner Schaum, leicht hopfig in der Nase, leicht hopfig im antrunk, angenehme bittere im Abgang. Leichter etwas seicht, aber wohl weil zu alt

Poured from bottle. This one was a disappointment from my expectation. Aggressively hoppy, not as much west coast floral/citrus. A little heavy in my opinion. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This was a solid and aggressive IPA in both aroma and body. Quite tasty, though perhaps a little overly bitter in comparison with the fruity or floral notes.

Bottle split with Gail. Pours a clear gold with a large white head. Dusty citrus, spicy hops, a bit of musk. Medium bodied, spicy hops, sweet and sticky. Nice pungent grapefruit into the finish, spicy citurs lingering. Very nice.

Pours hazy golden-amber with a 2-finger white head. Aroma is entirely of citrus hops. Body is medium-to-full, with a moderate oiliness that lingers in the finish. Flavor of grapefruit hops with some biscuit malt underneath. Maybe some grapefruit peel as well.

Pours gold with a white head that quickly dissipates (Brussels Lace). Pleasant and fresh aromas: cereal, citrus. A quick flash of sweet and sour gives way to all bitter. Nice clean palate w/ a little stickiness. A solid offering.

Mine pours with a really big head. Aroma is some hops, some, well, decaying grass. Must be a bit old. Taste is decent - lots of citrus hops, some malt sweetness, ABV isn’t apparent. Aside from the bizarre pour, not bad at all.

This brew pours a hazy pale golden color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of tropical fruit, hops and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of floral hops, stone fruits and toasted malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Above average overall.
