Beer Camp #18 January 2010 ABV 6.8 IBU 52
Made with our Prairie Malt growers from Biggar, Saskatchewan, this golden ale is a perfect session beer—medium bodied and perfectly balanced. Mild sweetness and delicate malt flavors play smoothly against an understated backbone of hops, offering a dry finish and superb drinkability.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: AUG 4, 2010 Had a pint of this at the brewery. I’ll second the laugh in the previous review about being "an ideal session beer". Although I have to admit that it didn’t taste like 7% and therefore could be quite dangerous if you take SN at their word. :) Nice looking golden color with a Kolsch-like flavor that I really enjoyed.

8 ounce sample at the brewpub. I am humored by the description that this 7% beer is a "perfect session beer". Anyway, the aroma is a little fruity and sweet. There are also floral undertones and metallic hop ones, as well. Interesting aroma here. Transparent orange body with a small whitish head present. Floral hoppiness to start with some honey-like flavors in the middle. Has more of the floral hoppiness later on in the finish. Lightly bitter. Interesting beer...doesn’t seem to fit a particular category. Ethanol is hidden well.
