There’s no shortage of holiday spirit in this ale crafted by Sierra Nevada employee Beer Campers. The malt-focused Cabin Fever reveals itself first through mild ginger and nutmeg aromas before a smooth body hosts slight vanilla and orange flavors—the result of citrus fruits zested by the beer’s creators.

10 ounce sample on tap at the brewery. The aroma is unique with some spiciness. Nutmeg? Also floral. Also get some ginger, too. Herbal. Transparent copper body with a medium, off-yellow head present. Pretty strong, too. Starts with nutmeg flavor. Becomes a little floral and a touch bland in the middle. Some ginger flavors comes in late. Restrained and balanced and not over the top. A touch bland, and a little watery, though.

On draft at SN brewery. Clear amber pour, with an off white head. Grapefruit, mild hops, caramel malt, some bread, and notes of fruit. Mostly uninteresting, but decent for an amber.

On draft at Tap 25. It pours a red/orange color with an off white head. The aroma is dry with some bitter pine and toast. The flavor is also very dry and toasty with some floral hops and a little pine wood near the finish. Pretty light on the palate and highly carbonated. Not bad.
