COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A rich chocolate aroma is laced with hints of smoke that recall a campfire and a creamy body coats your tongue while cocoa permeates a lasting sweetness.

10 ounce sample on tap at the brewery. The aroma is rather faint, with light metallic notes and mild herbal hops present. Not much else. Transparent amber-mahogany body with a strong, creamy light tan head present. Good lacing. Starts a little acidic with mild roast and moderate sweetness. Some toffee and a little nougat is present. A little chocolate comes in late. Pretty tasty.

On tap at the Torpedo Room. It pours a super deep red color with a khaki head. The aroma has hints of roasted malt with earthy hops and some cherry plum fruit. The flavor has black cherry, hints of roast with a chocolaty base. Low levels of roasted malt for a stout, but a nice subtle chocolate character. Tasty.

On tap in the Sierra Nevada Taproom. Black with a thick head. Chocolate and dried fruit aroma. Sweet but rich and well balanced. I liked this one a lot, but if you donít like sweet beers, youíll hate it.

JohnnyJ (4218) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 16, 2014
On tap at the SN brewery. Pours a clear reddish brown, pretty light color for a stout. Generic maltiness, sweet bread, light roast, and light citrusy hops. Iím not really getting any chocolate, maybe some very light notes of cocoa. This is a weird beer, not up to par of what I thought it would be.

Decent, clean and mild

On tap @ Torpedo Room. Kind of a light pour for a stout. Brown, maybe cola. Khaki head. Aroma is fairly sweet with a lot of caramel, chocolate, and toast. Lots of nuts, a bit of coffee, and floral hops. Flavors of sweet caramel and toast. Chocolate, coffee, and toasted nuts. Mild hops and coffee. Light bitterness on the finish.
