This unique take on the traditional IPA style pairs the bold and intense aromas of whole-cone hop "flowers" with aromatic natural rose hips and petals for complex aromas and unexpected flavors.

Not my favorite brew from this years box but worth the time to drink. The aroma was the best thing about the brew. The flowery hops were awesome to partake in

Bottle shared by drsilverworm. Pours a translucent copper with a white head of foam. Aroma is floral, imagine that, grassy, and herbal. Tastes fine, especially considering the age of the beer.

Bottle Beer Camp variety pack from BevMo: Appeared as a dark golden honey topped with a soapy fluffing of head. Aroma is similar the pale ale recipe except that there is more floral aromas of hops and a heavier presence of bread like malts. The flavor is somewhat bitter yet sweet with some syrupy malts that are balanced with some earthy hops.

THOUGHTS: Very nice and well-balanced IPA. Tons of flavor but not really as unexpected of flavors as the label claimed. Nearly perfect balance. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a truly beautiful, clear, light to medium amber with an average to large, slightly off-white head kept a thick sheet. The aroma had light to moderate caramel malt; moderate floral, perfumey, herbal and grassy hops; and resinous hops when warmer. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and bitter; while the finish was moderately sweet and bitter with an average duration. There was caramel malt, floral, grassy and perfumey hops, and slight citrus hops. It really tasted quite herbal and plant like. The light to medium body was sort of creamy, but oily and then silky then dry with lightly fizzy carbonation and a dry and lightly metallic finish.

I’m rating this long after I should have since this is now about a year old (too old for a fresh IPA). Slightly murky medium orange/yellow with a nice foamy off-white head. Good malt aroma with some grassy notes. Grassy, slightly catty and pine flavor with grapefruit pith bitterness. Really solid and well balanced caramel and biscuit malt behind this. Medium bodied and this lets the hop bite right through to the tongue which stays long after the sip is gone. Very nice West Coast IPA.

Bottles from the beer camp 12 pack. Orange colored pour with a white head. Smell is huge floral hops (no shit?). Grass, grapefruit, citrus, all are abound in the taste. Good beer, easy to drink. Wish they would make some of these beer camp beers into their all the time line up.

Smells of green peppers, lavender, and honey. Taste some coffee grounds, parsley, fresh greens. Finishes with a nice hoppy bitterness. Very nice.

12 oz served in a Great Divide pint glass. A - Slightly hazed amber with 2 fingers of eggshell head that slowly melts into a thick cap. Impressive splotchy lacing left behind. S - Sweet honey, earthy lavender, green stems, caramel malt, doughy yeast. T - Follows the nose with floral hops, lavender, green spinach stems, spicy peppery bite, green chlorophyll on the back end. M - Medium lush feel, crisp feel, medium to moderate carbonation. Lots of green floral going on. A nice change of pace for the style.(My score is based on style).I’m use to tasting old IPA’s but this was refreshing. Not something I would want to kill all night but I could put down a couple of these with a smile on. Serving type: bottle 09-11-2012

Bottle. Light orange with fine colloidal particles that remain in suspension. Aroma is grapefruit and pine, not much in the floral department. Hoppy dry palate, mirroring the nose, more herbal than floral really. I think this would have to be drunk pretty fresh to appreciate any delicate floral aromatics, just guessing. Still a fine IPA though.

Bottle from Slowbeer. A while ago, but I remember liking it. Floral, citrus, spicy hops, very drinkable.
