4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle pours clear deep gold with near white head of foam. The aroma offers up some cereal graininess and slivers of sugary malts and a bit of vague noble hops. The taste offers up a quick pulse of bitter floral hops and some spicy almost dank like hoppiness before fairly thick and sweet Pilsener like malts and malt graininess come to the surface. The hops pick up a layer of flavor hops into the finish. This has a great play between sweeter malt notes and more bitter hops. I didn’t expect to even like this one and it turned out to be very tasty.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Looks like fizzy yellow beer, but with some good lacing to it. Hops in the front of the palate and nose, but ends with that lagery sweetness. I just can’t get in to that, though I think this is about the best Pils I’ve had.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle, labeled as “Sierra Nevada 2012 Imperial Pilsner Beer Camp #43.” Dry, floral aroma features rose and cracker scents. Noble hops smell. Pours a bright clear gold with a moderate amount of slow-rising bubbles and a moderate to large amount of thick, long-lasting, beige/off-white head. Good, web-like lacing. Noble hops dominate the dry taste; dry, white wine flavor. Nice and dry, avoiding the excessive sweetness that affects too many imperial pilsners. Dry aftertaste. Moderate body. Easy to drink. Refreshing. Frothy in the palate. Filling. Very likable beer overall.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle. Bright yellow color, modest head, light lacing. It’s definitely got a complex profile for the style, I’m confused, can you just throw "imperial" in front of a beer and assume it tastes better? This one does. Good description up top...definitely worth your time - it’d be a great "gateway" beer for macro drinkers.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This has just the right looks for the style, with a light, almost golden yellow colored body with moderate carbonation and a very airy, frothy bright white head. Its aroma is fresh and crisp with light sweetness and a very nice green, herbal, plant-like hop character.
In the mouth... yums. It has an a fantastic mouth feel, and its flavor is almost as good, with an almost crystal malt sweetness and a light, but distinctive hop flavor that makes the overall bouquet very well balanced and full for such a light beer. This is how I like my Pilseners. And best of all: no residual lager yeast flavor - not even in the finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a light golden color with a thick white head that leaves good lacing. Smells of light malt and mild spicy floral hops. Tastes the same as if smells with an added apple/peppery tartness and has great malt flavors and is a little hoppier than your average pilsner. Mouthfeel is light and refreshing. This is a great pilsner. It has a very good balance of malts and hops. Wish this was a Sierra Nevada regular.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A nice clear golden body with a frothy white head that faded to a thin quarter of an inch coating. Head had good retention. A good malt profile up front nice toasted malt base with some sweetness and some cereal notes. A slightly floral sense from the hops. Flavor was nice and crisp. Good lightly toasted malts and a nice bitterness from the hops a slight floral note to it. A nice crisp finish. All around a well balanced beer.
