COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Produced especially for the OBF, Beer Campís golden color and medium bodied sweetness comes from pale, Europils, Munich and acidulated malts. Magnum, Crystal and Pacifica hops provide a distinctly American bittering and hop flavor profile without going over the top. The result is a refreshing, balanced, crisp pilsner, easy to drink on a hot summer festival day - or to take with you to beer camp.

Clear golden color, thick white head. Crisp lemon perfume aroma mixes with the usual lager breadiness. Smooth, inoffensive flavor. Nice return of the lemon and appreciable bitterness. Mineral/steel finish after the lemon fades. One of the best pale lagers Iíve ever had, wouldnít buy it again.

A - Pours a clear golden-orange color with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some nice lacing. S - Aroma is a mix of pilsner malts with lemon zest and citrus hops with some bread and bit of lager yeast esters. T - Starts off with a mix of pilsner malts with some lemon zest and citrus hops with a bit of bitterness. Through the middle, a bit more bitterness comes through with some floral hops, some bready malts. The finish is a mix of pilsner malts with lemon zest, citrus hops, a bit of lager esters. M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a dry finish. D - Very drinkable. Nicely balanced and finish very nice crisp finish.

It is an imperial pilsener... Donít know why they feel the urge to brew these but the imperialization ruins what the style has going for it. This is one fo the better done ones though.

12 oz. bottle. Straw golden pour with styrofoam white head. Strong floral hop aroma with mild citrus and pine, some crisp malts. The hop aroma is quite nice. Flavor is crisp and dry with a strong pine and floral hop note. Moderate pale and lager malt presence. Medium bodied, crisp carbonation. Overall, a nice hoppy lager.

Bought a mix-12 "Beer Camp" pack of this from Payless Liquors in Fisher, IN for $14.99. Poured one of the 12 FL. OZ. bottles w/ a Blue Label and a Wooden Brew Kettle in a forest into a 16oz Pint Glass. Has 2168206:24 on the front of the bottle neck. Aroma- Has a BIG German Malt and light corn like sweetness. Noble hops are evident and very clean throughout the whole smelling process. Close to perfect. Appearance- Pours a 1 finger head that slowly dies. Has a clear yellow colored body with tons of carbonation bubbles shooting to the top. Leaves good lacing behind. Flavor- Very sweet with crystal malts and noble hops. Rice based? Not sure but seems like it. Smooth and finishes with the lightest bitterness. Mouthfeel- Light Bodied, Medium-High Carbonation, Bit Creamy, and prickles the tongue with crystal malt. Overall Impression- An impressive beer for my first one to try of this "Beer Camp" series. Very close to a German Pilsner but had more attribute. Enjoyed thoroughly as my first beer of the night!

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilburís Foco. Clear golden appearance with a white head. Quite rich pils malty, big grassy, floral/herbal hoppy nose. Dry, grainy pils malty, rich straw/hay, very floral, herbal flavor. Pretty clean albeit strong taste.

Bottle. Pours light golden with a frothy white head. Aroma is spicy noble hops, some biscuit and breadiness to it, light bit of citric, lemon. Flavor starts sweet and doughy, some cookie, gaining some herbal spicy hops before a crisp finish. Medium body and a crisp carbonation.

18 Aug 2012, bottle. yellow, clear, steady bubbles. nose is slightly sweet lager with faint alcohol nose. thin body and moderately fizzy. slightly skunky, sweet lager. nothing special, and certainly nothing to justify calling it imperial. still, itís a decent lager

12 oz. bottle- Pours crystal golden with a nice fluffy white two finger head. The aroma is kind of grainy, but citrusy, moderate hops, lemon rind. The taste is crisp and refreshing, citrusy, lemon. Body is medium and carbonation is medium high. I really liked it, one of the best Pilsners I have had.

12 oz bottle from the 2012 variety pack bought from work. Pours clear golden with a medium collapsing white head. Aroma is bready, grainy, citrusy hoppy, sour berries. Taste is biscuity, lightly sweet with faint bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel is creamy, carbonation is fine. Smooth and crisp. This is absolutely delicious. One thing I donít get--how is a beer with only 5.6% ABV considered "imperial"?
