COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our aggressive Imperial Red Ale is a massive mix of smooth malts and West Coast hops that have no patience for the lupulin leery. This crimson beer starts with caramel-like malt flavor that can’t suppress the assertive, citrusy hop finale.

craftbeersweden (457) - SWEDEN - FEB 8, 2016
Bottled in 2013, bought March 2014 in Sweden and stored in my beercellar for almost two years.
ABV: 8.5% - Best before September 2014.

This is a dark, red, hazy beer with a two finger high, fluffy, beige-brown head that leaves a lot of lacing. A lot of sediment floating around.

Nose: Caramel malt, dried fruit, ripe apples, floral notes, vanilla, resin, apricot, red berries and yes! Still a lot of hops in the nose after more than two years!
As the beer warms up it explodes of hops - Really nice!
Taste: Almost creamy taste. A slight bitterness at the end. Dried fruit, plum, grapefruit, orange, pine, resin, caramel malt, pink grapefruit and grass. A lot of hops in the taste.
Mouthfeel: Thick texture. Medium carbonation. Soft and creamy. Dry and bitter ending. A "chewy" feeling, like taking a big bite of a great, tasty, fruit!

As you can see I really like this brew! It has matured very good and I just hope I’ll still have a few bottles of this #95 - 2013 deep down in my cellar...

(Bottle) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of caramel, resin, apricots, dark bread, orange peel, burnt rubber, some chocolate and a touch of maple syrup. Malty, hoppy taste with caramel, apricots, resin, orange peel, dark bead, a touch of chocolate and a generous citric/resiny bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Solid malt profile and a generous hop character. Very nice.

Hoppier than expected. Acquired a malty taste after warming up. Just a bit more bitter than I like. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

30.7.2014. Beer camp #95 2013. Dark copper colour. Intense has sweet caramel malts, and tells its strong in abv. Also raisin and intense fruity hoppiness. Taste has bready malts, turning into ripe fruits, nuts, pine, sth slightly roasted. Finish is bittersweet with grass and nuts. Good and quite complex and balanced. Towards the end, rating dropped.

Bottle shared at the July 2014 chriso tasting - London. Pours clear penny copper with a frothy white head. Big piney hop nose with secondary notes of orange rind and dried caramel. Medium sweet flavor with grainy bread, pine, earth and orange. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation and oily texture. Resinous finish with more pine and grainy toasted bread. Bottle, Ship in a Bottle, West Kirby. Copper pour with a reserved tan head. Sweet malt, citrus and resin in the nose. Initially sweet taste that succumbed to a healthy dollop of citrusy hop. Satisfyingly pleasant to drink. This Beer Camp Series is very good indeed.

Flavour is nice resin, pine needles with a big clean bitterness. Some fruity tangerine and toasted bread malt. Palate is full, sticky resin. Lingering clean piney bitterness. This bottle held up well.
