COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our aggressive Imperial Red Ale is a massive mix of smooth malts and West Coast hops that have no patience for the lupulin leery. This crimson beer starts with caramel-like malt flavor that can’t suppress the assertive, citrusy hop finale.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 7/8/2013. Pours moderately cloudy ruby red color with a 2 finger dense light khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, orange zest, tangerine, peach, pineapple, caramel, bread, floral, light pine, and floral earthiness. Very nice aroma with good complexity and big hop presence with a fair amount of malt balance; and good strength. Taste of grapefruit, orange zest, orange rind, peach, pineapple, pine, caramel, bread, floral, grass, and floral earthiness. Good amount of pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, peach, pineapple, pine, caramel, bread, floral, grass, and floral earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice balance and complexity of hop flavors with a moderate malt balance; with a good bitterness/sweetness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy, crisp, and sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice Imperial red ale. All around good balance and complexity of hop flavors with moderate malt balance; and very smooth and crisp to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.

Really nice deep ruby red color and full head. Rich malt nose with citrus hop aroma. This is a full feeling beer, lots of malts that are still upstaged by the hops. Reminds me of ABastard with it full richness. Tasty.

Wow, sierra nevada did beer camp right this year, some strong ones in the mix as well to make that $21 worth it. Seriously perfect imperial red, hoppy, crisp, smooth, and a really nice finish. Totally worth picking this mix pack up.

Growler. Clear reddish amber with a dense off white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, citrus pine and floral hops. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, bitter hops and some dry alcohol. Medium body with a bitter finish. Nice beer, the bitterness balances out the sweet malt.

12 oz. bottle. Pour is a deep amber with a frothy light beige head with good retention. Good lacing. Smell is a nice rich malt, and a great blast of west coast piney hops. Taste is very rich with sweet notes of caramel, brown sugar which fades into a blast of citrus and cascade which lingers in between sips. Smooth creamy texture, carbonation similar to an American Barley wine. Kind of like a rich IPA, not bad at all. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Piny, resinous, and quite an oily bitterness. Has a slight sweetness, but unbalanced and over-hopped. All together not bad.

Reddish brown with small tan head. Aroma piney hops and malt. Medium-full body. Not much alcohol. Grapefruit and citrus hops, bit of brown sugary malt in the background. Bitter hops overwhelms a hint of sweetness. Flavor is quite hoppy and pretty much tastes like a DIPA without much red ale character. Nonetheless is good.

12oz bottle. Deeo burgundy-brown body. Soapy massive beige head. Piny, in your face aroma. Sierra seems intent on nailing the ultimate hoppy strong red ale, and they are doing a good job. A quality beverage, well balanced. Drinkable, refined, despite the massive ABV. A real enjoyable, quality beverage.

It's definitely unique...if you like Reds, you'll probably love this; if not, you'll dislike the more intense flavors that you didn't love to begin with. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
