4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle-12 pk beer camp purchased at Total Wine in Springfield, VA August 2013
Pours deep copper hue with a lovely soapy lite kacki head. Nose is very resionous, pine, grapefruit, caramel, toasted grains, Smells awesome! Perfect marriage of hops and malts. Flavors are very resinous hops, nice sweet toasted malts, caramel, lots of resin. Lots of piney resinous bitterness here. Body is full, lush and somewhat over carbonated however, that aids to this beer actually. Its like Bigfoot in some ways, just not quite as big and./or malty. fantastic brew!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma of strong hops. Deep crimson brown appearance with nice lacing. Strong flavor of hops upfront with a secondary wave of maple, brown sugar, cinnamon and oak. Alcohol is under the radar on this one. Overall, tastes like a standard american strong ale. Not bad at all yet, nothing really special or outstanding about this one.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from the Folsom BevMo. Pours dark ruddy copper with a slight beige head. Aroma is malty with a touch of citrus. Med body. Flavor is malty with a heavy dose of citrus/resin hop. Maybe even something earthy in here. It’s tending towards a dry finish, but the malt is strong. Drinks very nicely.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle, 2013 vintage, beer camp #95. Dark red color, with lots of fine particles suspended in the body. Good thin khaki head, leaves decent lace. Piney, grapefruity, spicy big west coast hops, here. Spicy, chocolate malts, light caramel. Bigger body. Smooth, lighter, kind of tingly / softer carbonation, with a more dry finish. Bigger bitter taste, light sweet, and a spicy finish. Good assertively hoppy, spicy imperial red!

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma is pine, green onions/celery and spices. The flavor is citrus, grapefruit, a good hint of green onions/celery that fades into being more mild heat, malts and a dry and bitter finish. Could have done without the green onion/celery flavor, otherwise it was decent.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Deep garnet pour, one-finger beige head. Nose is resiny, with notes of dark berries, candied citrus, caramel, and bark. Sweet and hoppily bitter. Sticky but dry palate. I don’t generally dig this kind of beer, but this one sort of hit the spot.
