Aromas of nutty, caramelized malts, and citrusy hops, with some booze. Clear ruby-bronze with a mostly fading, off-white head. Dry, somewhat fruity, and very balanced. Medium bodied, strong, and with a very clean finish, especially considering the high ABV.

Bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Bottle says it’s Beer Camp #95. Looks good; a hazy dark amber with light beige lacing. Smells of big caramel malt with a fairly bitter hop profile and a bit of soapiness, but not unpleasantly so. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle: Aroma is big on hops and lightly fruity. Appearance is a clear amber/red with a thick off white head that lingers. Taste has hops a little bit of malts, light coffee notes, and grapefruit. Palate is medium to high carbonation with an aftertaste of pungent hops. Overall, I liked this one. Cheers!

So, this is a malty IPA? Really hoppy Barleywine? Seems something like that. Lots of sweet, caramel malts and a big woodsy hop finish. Pretty good, if not really ground breaking.

12 oz. Clear, deep copper-red with a lasting film of cream. Nose of molasses, evergreen resin, light orange and chocolate. Tastes of orange toffee, evergreen resin, woody pith, prune, and hints of cocoa and sweet soy sauce. Big minty finish. Medium body has average carbonation and finishes very dry.

355mL 2013 mix pack purple label. Clear deep red with enormous tan foam. Perfect lacing. Nose is piney, resinous, fresh melon and thyme. Taste is rich and silky, mild chocolate and oil. Heavy pine needle and forest like SN Celebration. Softer mouthfeel but just as aggressive IBU wise. Celebration fans will rejoice ounce more. Paired with Thai food.
