COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our aggressive Imperial Red Ale is a massive mix of smooth malts and West Coast hops that have no patience for the lupulin leery. This crimson beer starts with caramel-like malt flavor that can’t suppress the assertive, citrusy hop finale.

2013 bottle. Pours a reddish brown into the nonic pint glass. Large white head that lasts for awhile, fair lacing on the glass. Aroma is resin and floral hop notes combined with caramel malts. Don’t get the citrus however. Some booze in the taste upfront. Nice finish but a little off with the carbonation. Pretty good ASA but not one to remember.

Enjoyed at the Three Penny Taproom. A well balanced, but very hoppy red ale. Love the hops and it is a very beautiful ruby in color

Bottle:   Deep rich dark caramel, moderate to large foamy tan head, very nice lacing.   Sweet citrusy nose, hoppy, a touch candied.   Smooth on the tongue, sweet, citrusy, hoppy, some candied citrus peel notes.   Flavorful without being overly bitter.   Some pith and peel in there as well, but the sweetness balances out that bitterness.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Finishes clean, light bitterness, sweet citrusy notes, some caramel malts, just plain ole good!
