3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle from beer camp 12 pack. Red-brown pour with thin but sturdy light tan head. Aroma is hops, tropical fruit, grapefruit, caramel and light floral. Tastes are on the malty side - roasty, earthy, herbal, coffee and then pine hop bitterness. Little bready. Interesting - lots going on, but not sure everything works well together. Ok.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Malt content is very juicy, sweet and balances well with grapefruit tones of the hops but not the double ipa that was advertized. More of malty sweetness well balanced in an ale form. I like it nonetheless.

(12oz bottle thanks to blutt59) clear medium red, wispy white bubbles. Nose of crystal malt, agave, herbal. Taste of rich caramel, light agave, herbal without being bitter, brown sugar. Oily creamy body. Nice palate.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Dark amber pour with a little bit of lasting head and an aroma of a little malt and some barely noticeable hops. Flavor is good and creamy malt, some peppery tin/hops and dry grapefruit on the finish. Not bad, but middle of the road as far as imperial red’s go.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 8/30/12
Aroma: The nose is a balanced combination of caramel malts and pine hops
Appearance: It pours a clear, dark reddish color with a foamy beige head and fairly heavy lacing
Flavor: The taste is light-medium sweet, fairly malty, with spice notes, and a fairly big hop bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, has a fairly creamy, smooth feel, soft carbonation, and a rather dry finish
Overall, this a solid beer, but not a standout in the Imperial Red "style." The nose is solid, but I didn’t get nearly any of the grapefruit, peach, and melon that the nose promised. The flavor is also solid, but it also doesn’t reach the level of the best examples of the style.

Spruce, piny aroma. Soapy head and lace dots. Initially complex hoppy melange with a dry malty finish. Worth sipping to enjoy.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From the Beer Camp 12 Pack, my second favorite after the Oatmeal Stout. Poured a nice reddish brown with a dirty off white head. Nose was a nutty malt, a bit on the fruity chocolate side. Nice balanced taste leaning on the sweet side. Not as strong tasting as the ABV would lead you to think. This is a medium bodied beer with a nice creamy texture, and long finish.

12oz bottle. Rating #76. Dark reddish/amber color with a nice sticky beige head that left some great lacing on the glass. Nice aroma, it’s a nice blend of hops and a caramel, light toast, sweetness. Nice flavor as well, more toast with a nice bite in the finish. Nice stuff. (2376)
