This IPA sacrifices nothing for its drinkability, flexing big time flavor and complexity. The light color disguises the depth of the malt backbone, a pillar that balances the potent whole-cones of the piney-citrus Cascade and tropical fruit-like Citra hops.

Smells fruity and yeasty. Pours dark brown/black. Tastes like a subtly hoppy Belgian. Tart and dry finish.

pour hazy orange brown with a nice even 1 finger offwhite head. unfiltered maybe... i could be trippin but this really smells like sierra nevada pale or any of it’s other hoppy offerings. Little burnt peppery veggy taste on the front but ... wow. the finish is extremely well balanced, sweet and bitter on the tongue. i’m diggin it. not too bad

Would like to have given this a 6.5 for aroma. Definitely get the citrus pine but no tropical fruit(wtf?). Medium bodied. Taste wise its well balanced. No hop overload. Good bitterness with a slight citrus note. Hint of sweetness. Good IPA.

12oz. bottle Poured into my Ipa glass. Pours a golden amber color with a medium off white head that leaves pretty good lacing. Smells of Floral, cirus, pine and resin. Tastes of all the same things in the smell. though it starts hoppy and finishes malty. Citra hops was a good choice here. Mouthfeel is chewy and oily with lively carbonation and a dry finish. Pretty good ipa all around. Well balanced and citrusy due to the hops they used. Great intro to the beer camp 2013 beers.

12oz bottle pours with a clear copper to gold body that supports a white head which leaves behind spotty lacing. The modest aroma offers up a mix of hop notes like citrus, floral, dank hops and slivers of earthy tea. Smells pretty nice but it takes some coaxing to bring it out. The taste starts with the same wide mix of hop flavors such as citrus, floral, earthy tea and some dank onion. The hop bitterness grows to midway and takes over completely for a little while. Nice. I’m really enjoying the way the hop profile is coming together.

Bottle from Pete. Hazy orange body, steady off-white head. Big citrus hop aroma. Good malty feel. A balanced, big IPA, some oily resinous hop tones. It is a very enjoyable IPA.

12oz bottle 9/22/13 (Binny’s Downers Grove Mix A Six)-42° in Shaker-Pours a hazy orangish amber with a small tight off white head. Aroma of citrus and malt. Taste of citrus, pine, and malt. This medium bodied brew is well balanced and goes down real smooth.

Earthy, viney aromas from a clear orange/yellow body with a foamy white head. The initial taste is bitingly bitter and extremely dry with more of that dry vine-like taste and citrus pith. Almost seems like a bit of rye spiciness in there, but I don’t see a mention of that in the description. There’s a bit of a floral component behind all that. Very light caramel sweetness in the back, but not enough to tame the hops. Finishes (surprise) dry and bitter, but not sticky. Definitely a hop lovers beer and a bitter mess to anyone else.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear dark copper color with a large white head. A light sweet pine and biscuit nose. Smooth, medium bitterness, pine, some orange peel, more lingering bitter lemons. Not too balanced. The citra does come in, but the bitterness crowds it out mostly. Good overall though.
