3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Nose with pine, resin, citrus, very hoppy, seems pretty hard-boiled. Pours clear orange with red and yellow highlights and plenty of carbonation, creamy large eggshell head. Bone dry and stripping, really, light oil with stronger resin, very strong bitterness but not punishing. Light spice and prickling, a little green, plenty of citrus, earthy caramel, light paper/wood strips. Medium-full body. Nothing wrong here, my taste just not feeling it tonight.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Mariís. Pours clear orange with a medium sized white head, decent retention, solid lacing. The aroma is piney with a bit of pear and passion fruit iíd say. The citrus is not pungent enough to excite me. The taste has a nice pine cone kick, followed by dry bitterness, and a light citrus burst. Palate is classic WC IPA. Decent offering but nothing extra.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz stubby Sierra Nevada bottle via 12 pack from Spirits Rt 166. Poured a very nice deep rusty gold body with a full large thick fluffy white head. Aroma of dry citrus rinds, rotting citrus meat, grains, old bread dough, grass, alcohol and some bad tropical fruits. The body is very full and foamy with assertive carbonation and noticeable alcohol despite the not so high ABV. Flavor of dry hop cones, dry citrus rinds, dry orange citrus pulp, yellow grapefruit, bread crusts. Meh this one is not doing it for me.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz. Pours a lighter golden with a lacy white head. Aromas of light pine, some citrus fruit, and a touch of caramel. There is also a floral note that is present. The body is somewhat light and easily drinkable. Decent but not what I expected out of this one.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is a bit lighter on the color scale and has a very nice lacy white head. Nice soft pine and citrus hop aroma. Mouthfeel is nice and full and the hops, with the addition of the Citra, adds a nice complexity over their regular IPA, although itís a bit heartier. Malt provides good body but doesnít get in the way.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Part of Beer Camp 2013. Pretty much as expected, and compared to the critics of the beer that Iíve seen, I didnít find this astringent or unduly harsh. By the same token it is clearly a hop-forward ("hopocentric" as it has been put) beer. But thatís IPA as weíve come to understand it. I donít care for IPAs that much, but as an IPA goes, this is a solid, though not remarkable example. Bottle.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, bottled on 7/9/2013. Pours lightly hazy and cloudy golden amber color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with incredible retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts the whole glass. Nice soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of tangerine, lemon zest, orange zest, grapefruit, pineapple, floral, grass, light pine, light caramel, bread, and floral earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good complexity of hop notes with a fair amount of malt balance; and solid strength. Taste of lemon zest, orange zest, tangerine, grapefruit, floral, pine, grass, light caramel, bread, and floral earthiness. Good amount of earthy pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, pine, floral, grass, light caramel, bread, and floral earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice balance and complexity of hop flavors; with a light-moderate malt balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice IPA. All around good balance of hop flavors with a fair amount of malt balance; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
