2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
From notes: Draught @ Jose Pistola’s, Philadelphia. Poured pale straw color with a white head. Aroma was light and floral. Body was slightly on the thin side. Flavor was floral and yeasty, with a mild hop note in the finish. Based on the description, I was expecting more hoppiness. This seemed more like it was trying to be a good light beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap during philly beer week 2011.
A: Golden body with a large fluffy white cap. Spotty lacing.
S: Mild hop aromas. Some citrus, a fair bit of grass. Biscuity malt comes through.
T: Oddly light. Cut grass, a little spicy hop, lemon and a light malt backbone. This was marketed as a east meets west coast hop profile... if I didn’t know what I was drinking, I’d think I was drinking an english attempt at a continental pilsener.
M: Smooth, light bodied, perhaps slightly over carbed. Certainly an easier drinker.
O: Overall, this was missing something and was a bit conflicted. The regular SN pale ale is better and doesn’t need to be "lightened" up. The hop selection was a bit off.
