3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The appearance is transparent and golden hued, with a steady ascension of bubbles emanating from the depths of the pint glass. A quarter inch or so of white head floats on top and leaves some random lacing on the glass.
The aroma is of malt and grain, and smells akin to a pilsner.
The flavor brings grain and a light bitterness. Simple but effective.
The body is thin to medium, with appropriate carbonation. Alcohol content is masked well, and this beer is pretty easy to drink and joy.
Overall, a nice simple beer, and only the second example of the style I have enjoyed. I would have it again.

Nice and relatively light bodied. Light golden appearance with a fast disappearing white head. Aroma of grass, citrus fruit and bread. Flavors tend toward the sweeter citrus fruits.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
First rating of a California Common. 12 ounce bottle originally purchased a year ago as part of the Beer Camp 12-pack ($17.99 for the twelver). Pours a clear-ish yellow/straw hue with one finger of off-white head which soon dissipates. Aroma of honey-sweetened tea, mellow citrus, peach, and floral hops. Flavor of caramel, honey, zesty citrus, and herb-y hops. Actually finishes a bitter more on the bitter side than the sweet side. Smooth and very quaffable on a hot day like today. (332, 718)

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from bottle a clear pale, golden color with a minimal head. A light malty aroma and a slight alcohol smell. I’m not getting other smells. Maybe some hop smells, but a lightly bitter taste. Body of the beer is very light. overall, I don’t think I am a fan of this style. Rather have an IPA with a clear hoppy/citrus taste or a Pale Ale.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
From memory. This beer had a nice sweet malty flavor, not to much hop in there. Overall, very enjoyable as with anything from Sierra Nevada.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This company does everything good. A nice brew with a sweet malt, floral, spice flavor.
I’m not really sure what a California common is as far as style, but I like it.

Orange color. Semi sweet hoppy aroma. Light but complex. The best of the beer camp series in my mind.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pale orange pour with a small white head. The Aroma is also very light, some hop, pine and a touch floral. The taste is crisp and sharp, the finish is quick a very easy drinking beer.
The surprise with this beer was the nice malt tones.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Poured a slightly hazy light beige color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of West Cost hops with citrus and pine notes more abundant then expected with some solid cereal notes. Taste is also dominated by some citrus notes and some pine hoppy notes though are offset by some solid cereal notes with limited sweetness. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Well brewed and quite enjoyable though with the amount of hops in this one we are getting away from the style guideline.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rich body, average head, light amber color. Hops noticeable in finish. Could give Anchor Steam a run for their money!
