Brownish pour with an off-white head. Pepper and candied citrus aromas. Caramel, lots of grass, rye, toffee, and some floral hops. Maybe a touch of pine. Light bitterness to the flavor. Big sweetness of caramel and toffee. Candied citrus peel, a decent amount of pepper, rye, grass, and floral hops.

On tap at Pizza Port. Tasted better in the little 2oz glass. Once I got the full pint back to the table it was, um, marginal. Watery without the bite I would expect from the "peppercorn" description.

Sampled at the Paramount Café Beer Festival, pre-GABF on September 28, 2011, Denver, CO. Tea-like brownish orange pour with an off-white head. Aroma of floral and citrusy hops with a generous amount of rye. The flavor is balanced and finishes with a touch of lemon rind. Very good overall.

Drake (11781) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 15, 2011
Served on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear amber color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of spicy hops, rye and caramel. The taste is bitter rye, pepper and herbal notes. Medium bodied.
