Euston Tap. Keg. Light haze on this gold beer, small white head. Palate is soft with good fine carbonation. Softish creamy malt, semi sweet. Startling flavours of cream, banana, mint and flowers! Trace of generic fruits and a whisper of bubblegum. Finishes smooth and creamy with nibbly carbonation. Mild orange bitterness in the aftertaste. Different and quite complex.

Tap at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours orange gold with a white head. Aroma is Belgian yeast/fruity ester. Aroma is very Belgian. Full bodied. Banana and other fruit esters. Finishes fruity, bitter and Belgian. A genuine pleasure to drink.

On tap @ Daily Pint. Orange pour with a white head. Not much of an IPA aroma, but plenty of bubblegum, banana, and yeast. Light spices and citrus and sweet bready malt. Good malt flavor of bread and biscuit. Plenty of banana, some bubblegum, and a touch of spice. Mild yeast and citrus to the flavor.

Draft at Whole Foods Market Glen Allen, VA. Pours a clear golden color with a large creamy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of herbal hops, spicy notes, phenolic notes and pale malts. The taste is spicy and herbal hops, stone fruits and a slight buttery note. Medium bodied.

Tap at Daily Pint. Clear orange pour with weak, white foam. Raw malt nose with biscuit and mild Belgian spicy/estery yeast. Taste is mild celery, cleaner though with spicy hops and thicker sugar. More of just a sweeter Belgian blonde than an IPA. Drinkable, but not what I expected.

On draught at Woodlands Tavern. Pours a mostly clear orange color with a medium foamy white head that evaporates slowly. Sticky sheer of lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruit, yeast and mild hops. Medium body with flavors of fruity yeast, hops and a bit of booze. The finish is fruity up front with an earthy hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draught @ Brouwer’s Café:   Translucent golden, large frothy white head, nice lacing, light carbonation.   Soft mealy dank nose.   Not hoppy, and not terribly bright in terms of Belgian aromas.   Smells very American in its mealiness.   Bright mealiness on the tongue, thankfully not too heavy.   Little hop bite that comes across more of an astringent bitterness than hops.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Strong straw notes, which is perhaps why the astringency.   I can see the strong blonde, but IPA?   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes with a soft hop bite, but moreso a bright mealiness that has some astringent aspects.   Not as much of an IPA as it is a strong blonde ale.   Tiz okay.

Draft at ebp. Pours a cloudy burnished medium amber with a dense and creamy whitish head that hangs around. Sweet cream, honey, a bit of dust, and some floral notes on the nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Caramel, floral, and creamy notes on the mid palate with a mild tangy finish.
