anaheim1983 (111), Anaheim, California, USA Feb 2, 2006 Pours a transparent amber copper with an off white head. Decent lacing. A bit hazy and noticeably carbonation Nice blended sweet malt and mild hop aroma. The hop bitter is pleasantly lip smacking as opposed to being overly piney or grassy. A mild floral (and slightly citrus) character, blends gently into honey and caramelized sweet malts. The malt base seems a bit thin through the center.it is a pleasant taste. It is not as gentle and is a bit more invasive on the palate than some. It would work on certain palates but contradict others. Very smooth, a bit thin at spots but overall medium body and refreshingly crisp. Great_Stelle (355), Chico, California, USA Jul 28, 2003 very good and drinkable. Has that nice bitter and hoppy flavor. Is comparable to some of the great brittish best bitters. hopscotch (4588), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Aug 19, 2002 This beer rocks.
Pale amber in appearance, this ale’s nose is malty and sweet. Nice body in the flavor. Excellent, full mouthfeel. Perfectly balanced. It finishes a bit fizzy and dry... citrusy. Great Spring and Summer brew. Try one... if you happen to be in Chico, CA. puzzl (1820), New York, New York, USA Aug 25, 2007 Tap at blind tiger. Don’t know how authentic this was in terms of style but this was very tasty. Cookie, earthy mushroom aroma. Lightly hoppy, full and smooth. Pine, cola nut flavors. Very clean. I think they still used their own yeast on this though. Dickinsonbeer (2550), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Sep 26, 2006 On Tap at Croxley Ales in NYC. Pours a light gold, moslty clear with a fluffy lasting white head. Aroma is lightly fruity esters, floral hops and very light bready malts. Nice fruity and floral flavoro with some tea-like qualities, and a citrusy bitter finish. Nice and smooth body and mouthfeel. Pretty good tasty bitter.
