Sold only on draft at the brewery. Brewed using English malts and hops this medium-bodied light copper colored beer is a very popular beer style in England. This is a very drinkable ale that will be enjoyed by many visitors to our Taproom.

From the tap poured a copper color with a fair amount of head. Nice light bitter hoppy flavor with a quick finish.

"eh. not bad, but definitely not a standout at Sierra Nevada or for a bitter (gimme Goose Island, Alesmith, Deschutes, or Boonville there). bitter, yes. but the malts were boring and the body thin. maybe a little harsh, but it was at the back end of their beers."

On tap @ Tap and Handle Foco during another massive Sierra Nevada tap takeover. Pours a clear, golden appearance with a white head. Cracker and lightly toasted grain in the aroma. Some herbal / grassy notes as well. Nice mouth feel. A bit floral. Pretty dry with an herbal hoppy flavor. Clean and simple. Good.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Hazy gold beer, good bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry and crisp. Fine carbonation. Good condition. Light floralness and light but spicy citrus. Underneath are light malts with a touch of toffee. Light dry crisp finish. Interesting! This is kina how I imagined a US Cask bitter would taste like. Good stuff.

Gravity dispense at GBBF ’14, day 1, 12/08/14. Clear golden with a decent bubbly off white covering. Nose is light vegetals, touch of piss, bready malt, grain, cereals, not the best. Taste comprises mellow hop notes, bready tones, light citric. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. So so, not really a bitter, not sure what mind.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2014. This was very interesting because I had this with an English friend who has been based in New York and he thought this was a fantastic beer. But for me it was just far too clean. Copper to chestnut brown colour, clear and a thin white head. Nose is earthy hop, toffee, toasty grain, slight ale fruitiness, minerally. Taste is light caramel, light ale fruity, earthy English hop. It’s got very clean lines. Very simple. At a festival with a dearth of English bitters and golden ales, some good, some bad, this just feels a little too plain and lacking bold fruit or flavours. Bit of dry hop on the finish.

Gravity cask at GBBF 2014, 12/08/14. Pours a hazy gold with a thin white head. Light sponge cake, light malt aroma. Light to medium body. Cakey, light maltiness, orange lemon, light caramel, light pine - not bitter, but OK.
