4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught. Pours a near black color with a rather thin head. Nose is fresh and hoppy with some clean floral elements in there. Taste has some nice hoppy bitterness to it with some subtle roasting throughout. Nice smooth brew.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Medium tan head atop cola-black body. Aroma is moderately sweet, roast/coffee, light dark chocolate, earthy. Taste is moderately sweet, roast, earthy/grapefruit, some coffee, light cocoa. Smooth medium body, low carbonation, light resin. More malt-forward than normal for a Black IPA -- this is more a hoppy porter -- but very well done.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at Churchkey. Poured a pretty opaque black color with a small tan head. Aroma was mostly roasted malt character with some earthy hops. Flavor had a slightly more balanced character to it, slight citrus notes, earthy hops still there and chocolate malts, plenty of roast. Not bad, but I wish it was a bit more hoppy.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Flanny's, roast and chocolate in the aroma, taste is heavy on the roast overwhelming the hops. It's good, but needs a little less roast and more hops.
