bbp182 (253), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 6, 2008 Nice dark amber color with an off white head and ok lacing. Sweet/malty aroma. The taste is like the smell, sweet, malty, full bodied.
marcus (1051), Sacramento, California, USA Sep 27, 2008 This dark brown ale poured with a thin beige head. There is a roasted malt flavor with a chalky brown finish. Angeloregon (2000), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 11, 2008 From a 12 ounce bottle poured a thin brown body with a medium off-white head. Nutty and malty like an English nut brown but with more piquant PNW hops. Roasty and mildly bitter. Very enjoyable. bobinlondon (220), Harrow, Greater London, England Jul 11, 2008 Top preshure tap at the White Horse, Parsons Green, London. Dark copper with a large head that disappears quickly. The aroma was a nutty, malt, roast smell. The taste contained more hops than I expected. Very nice.
Ethereal (927), London, Greater London, England Jul 9, 2008 On tap at the White Horse, Parsons Green, 4th July 2008. Rich brown in colour with a sweet malty aroma with a hint of marshmallows. Malty and balanced, this is a decent brown ale. The bitterness comes through nicely at the finish. Very drinkable. rayOfBeer (265), El Cerrito, California, USA Jul 7, 2008 Poured from tap a darker shade of brown with smallish light-tan head. Aroma was a mild roast with a bit of nut and malt but little carbonation. Flavor was dry with mild bitterness, roast, malty, nutty, and a light maple syrup. I found this one a bit light on flavor for me. Ok for sipping but not spectacular, was thinking about was else I could have had instead.
