Hopdropandfall (3), Long Valley, New Jersey, USA does not count Jan 16, 2009 Absolutely Delicious Brew! This along with Flying Dog Snake Dog IPA are my 2 favorites. Buy a keg, it’s even better on tap jimmay (179), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Jan 16, 2009 2008 bottle, sampled at Grand River Brewery. Pours dark/mid amber colour, decent head, with fine carbonation. Flavour and aroma dominated by hops. Very hoppy for a winter ale. Petrucci914 (574), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jan 13, 2009 2008 Bottle. Pours reddish-hued golden color with a medium to thin bubbly off-white head which leaves a nice web of sticky lacing. Aroma is citrus, and piney and grassy hops. Bitterness hits you right away but then fades into a decent malt backbone and some citrus. A solid session IPA. ElDuderino (136), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA Jan 12, 2009 Bottle, pours a nice transparent orange body with a thin pure white head. Lots of grapefruit in the nose along with some pine needles and wet grass. The hops and bitterness come out right away on my tongue, forcing the very tip to bunch up and numb just slightly. The flavor is crisp and fast with notes of pine needles, citrus peel and a sweet malty backbones that helps everything come together. Really a well balanced beer, perfect to mix in and extend an all night session. travita (1861), Frisco, Texas, USA Jan 12, 2009 The look is orange to amber in color with a decent beige colored head. Smell is hops with the pine parts really coming through some fruits as well some malts and caramel malts. Taste is medium bitterness, malts, and caramel. Decent beer. jmw141 (134), Canton, Illinois, USA Jan 11, 2009 Bottle pour. Good stuff. Aroma of floral hops. Bitter taste. I need to try this one again. MarthaPromise (12), Illinois, USA Jan 10, 2009 2008, 12 oz bottle. Pours a beautiful dark copper with two fingers of off white head. Laces all the way down. One of the nicest looking IPAs that I’ve ever had. Nose is piny, with a tad of that SN astringent/metallic aroma. Palate is medium with mild carbonation. Tastes bitter and a tad astringent. There are some spices underneath it and some nice warming afterward. I assume that’s where the holiday spin comes in. Nothing too spectacular but for $13.99 for a twelve pack, (6.8%) it makes it worth picking up. A very nice addition to trimming the tree. rader58 (166), Leawood, Kansas, USA Jan 10, 2009 Pours a deep honey amber. Strong hops aroma. Initial taste of bitter hops with mellow, slightly sweet finish. Is very much a Sierra Nevada beer. Quite enjoyable
