Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale

2008 Bottle. Slightly hazy, dark orange pour with a medium head that faded quickly. Sweet aroma with some citrus and piney hop notes. Bitter hop flavor with some grapefruit, spice and a malty backbone. Medium body, nicely carbonated. Solid beer, but over hyped.

12-ounce bottle. Pours a cloudy brownish orange. Aroma is of average IPA on ’roids. The flavor is delicious; Not as much citrus as most IPAs but a lot more on the bitter hops. There’s even a little sweetness in there. Overall, very good, even for a non-IPA lover.

2008 bottle. Poured a dark amber color with a thin off white head. Aroma of hops, pine and spices.Starts smooth with some sweetness and light carbonation. Ends with a nice bitter finish.

Clear amber with with large beige head. sweet aroma with hops, pine and caramel notes. Sweet flavour with toasted malt, caramel and hoppy notes towards the end. Bitter finish.

Really strong hops and bitterness. Not for everyday. Sierra usually makes good stuff.

dark coppor pour with massive head that lasted forever leaving nice lacing. I almost had to get a spoon out...taste is bitter, spicy and hoppy! Yum - aftertaste is very smooth and pleasing to the palate. Mouthfeel is well carbonated and nice. Good thing I bought plenty of this. Merry Christmas.

Nice well balanced beer this one. Deep amber with minimal beige head. Aroma is a nice sweet hoppy aroma. Flavour is a mix of really nice upfront sweetness that finishes with a firm but pleasent hop bitterness.

2008 bottle. Pours an amber body with a 1 finger off white head. Sweet malt, and citrus floral hoppiness. Spicy hop resins with a light grassy body. Has a nice grapefruit character leaving a a full spicy tart finish. Good brew.
