Commercial Description:
Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale represents a time honored tradition of brewing a special beer for the holiday season. There are generous portions of barley malts and fine whole hops of several varieties, creating a brew with a full, rich and hearty character.

Pour is slightly hazy orange with an off white head that hangs around with you for awhile. Nose is pine and citrus hops. First sip delivers a citrus hop flavor with some malt backing. Good lacing. All in all a really solid brew, better than a lot of the super malt beers for the season.

What an excellent respite from the usual ’holiday’ ales! This IPA is really good....try drinking a few of these then switching back to the regular stuff (SNPA)....You WILL miss it! This ale has a crisp slightly citrusy flavor...I wouldn’t know about the color or head, as it’s easily found in 12 packs which lends itself to fast/heavy drinking straight from the bottle. This will definately hold me over until Bigfoot hits the shelves(and my stomach).....My only complaint, is that this is a ’seasonal’ ale.....did I sample a ’2008 12oz. bottle’? Over the past month, it’s been more like 4-5 12packs of the stuff......

pours nice. The first thing I notice is the citrus, tates like grapefruit. then at the end it is so incredible bitter its hardly drinkable, to me, and its stays on the sides of my mouth and wont leave! I dont see what the fuss is about on this one, but then again im not into overly hopped beers either. It does have nice carbonation though.

Pours a dingy copper tan head nice hop aroma , nice malt and hop balance, a lot like the original SNPA except a little more caramel flavor and an unfiltered hop appearance a little more hop aroma from fresh hops possibly wet hopped and definitely hopbacked so a hoppier slightly more caramel version of the standard.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper with a one finger white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of citrus, floral, and pine hops with sweet malt and a hint of caramel in the background. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness. Very good.

Pours dark amber with a nice off white color head. Nice hoppy aroma with plenty of sweet malt in the background. Very well balanced flavor, grapefruit and pine hops with sweet caramel malts. Very good IPA too bad it is not available year round.

2008 Bottle. Slightly hazy, dark orange pour with a medium head that faded quickly. Sweet aroma with some citrus and piney hop notes. Bitter hop flavor with some grapefruit, spice and a malty backbone. Medium body, nicely carbonated. Solid beer, but over hyped.

12-ounce bottle. Pours a cloudy brownish orange. Aroma is of average IPA on ’roids. The flavor is delicious; Not as much citrus as most IPAs but a lot more on the bitter hops. There’s even a little sweetness in there. Overall, very good, even for a non-IPA lover.
