Pours orange-yellow with aroma of citrus, pepper/ spice, and noticeable grapefruit. Flavor is same with a belly of malt and hops. Finish is lingering citrus hops. I was not expecting a Christmas IPA, but hey, not bad.

Beer poured deep copper with a slight white head. Aroma was of citrus hops. Bitterness is sharp and lasts through the entire glass. Hoppiness balances well with malt profile of the beer. Very good beer.

2008 Edition. Pours a medium amber color with a thick white head and excellent lacing. Heavy citrus hops in the aroma. Flavor of citrus hops, balanced with roasted malt and a nice, even bitterness in the finish. Very good carbonation as well. Excellent beer overall.

2008 bottle. Pours a brownish-orange color with a one finger fluffy head. Nose is citrus, caramel malt, and pine. Flavor is very similar with good hop bitterness. Very smooth for decent ABV. I am thinking this is my new favorite session brew. Makes me really look forward to the new SN Extra IPA, which will be available year-round.

[Bottle] Pours a clear copper with a medium, fluffy off white head and some small floaties. Aroma is pine and citric hops and a slight caramel backbone. Flavor is significantly hoppy, with only a bit of malt to balance. The mouthfeel is medium to thin, and there is a significant bitterness on the finish. Overall a solid IPA but not terribly outstanding.

12oz bottle, 2008 vintage....pours a medium, semi-transparent,apple cider brown with a thin white head... semisweet citrusy pine aroma with sweet malt to go alongside it...citrusy, lighty bitter pine hope flavor profile. lively carbonatoin with a nice balance of hops and malt. very drinkable. always nice to see this on the shelves year after year. this might even deserve a point or two higher.
