Drank it in Carmel, CA. Pours nice golden color. Piney/citrus aroma, medium bodied, nice hop balance. Also drank it in Firkin Festival, however it was cask conditioned. This one was very spicey, some nutmeg.

bottle. pours a burnt copper color with a good sized orange-tan head. there is much sediment of various sizes floating around in the glass. smells of oranges and grapefruit. nice balanced flavor with bready malts and citrusy hops, a bit of pine and light spice are also detectable. finishes dry but somehow cloying at the same time. a bit of an odd choice to brew for the winter season but still enjoyable.

Re-rate 11/2/09. Copper color, nice thick fluffy head with some great staying power. Heavy lacing. Floral and citrusy with notes of pine and light malt and toffee. Crisp and bitter, long-lasting finish. Very nice. 11/28/04. Just sampled this on draft. I’m impressed. Dark copper color with a relatively thick head and nice lacing. Sweet citrus hoppy flavor, some pine with a crisp bitter bite. Released for the Christmas season, I’d drink this year round.

Bottle. Pours an amber orange with lots of carbonation that leads to a head that lasts through most of the glass. Aroma is a bit generic but with some citrus. Flavor is fairly solid citrus with some spice. A solid IPA.

Pours a clear amber color and a minor orange tint with a nice frothy white head. Around the rim of the glass some traces of spotted laceing are left. The nose is spicy and peppery followed by those bitter aromatic hops. The initial flavor is full of pepper and hops right on the tip of your tounge. the beer itself is full bodied and has a lot of pale malt and some spice like clove and orange peel. I like how the finish is not watery, the beer is spicy right up untill the last drop is drank.

Pours a slightly hazed orange colour with a small, but sturdy off-white head, leaving a thick film of lacing. Aromatic hops and biscuity malts waft the nose with suggestions of citrus fruit and honey. The flavour is pleasantly bitter and biscuity with citric and piney hops that aviod becoming too medicinal. It is not as sweet as the nose lead me to believe, except in the finish, which is fruity and grainy. The mouthfeel is dominated by harsh carbonation and has a slightly slick, medium body. The finish is dry and warming, leting you know the presence of the increased abv.

Oh delicious citrusy hops, how thy flavor and aroma warms my heart. Amber pour, lots of lacing, hoppy aromas sharp bite of hops, but not overly piney, a little unbalanced but I love hops so Im glad

Santa... pine needles... wrapped gifts... mistletoe... so many things to like about the holidays and this is one of ’em! Few days are happier in late fall than the day SNCA shows up in the local retailer’s cooler. I wish I had the willpower to store it and savor it... but sadly I do not. Only the sad, dry, empties remain in my bin by mid January. A definite "Do Not Miss"!
