Good, but short of being outstanding. Guinnessman (88), VACAVILLE, California, USA

Aroma is very hoppy and promises a bitter IPA. The mix of grapefruit and sweetness in the flavor satisfies your taste buds properly!

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 15, 2008 (bottle, 33cl) An almost crystal clear golden ale with a amber red tone. A nice, thick, yellowish foam. Very crisp and hoppy aroma. Its bitter and has lots of roasted tones in both taste and aftertaste. It could use a bit more sweetness to balance it out. Had a fitting palate, overall a good beer. hoplover (166), Corpus Christi, Texas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 10, 2008 Updated: Oct 29, 2008It pours a beautiful clear amber color, with an off white medium head that is very dissapating head that leaves ok lacing. The aroma is nice with citrus and a little pine in the nose, and pale malt. The flavor is not so mcuh hops as is mild bitterness and toasty pale malts. A lot more hop flavor would be nice. The palate couldv’e been a little more smooth, I like the dryness in the finish. This is an alright IPA by me, but nothing that really Wow-ed me. kiefdog (1585), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 7, 2008 Updated: Dec 28, 20082008 bottle (12oz) from Total Wine (Tampa, FL). Pours a hazy dark amber color with a one finger tan frothy head that settles slowly and laces the glass. Aroma is sweet and floral with notes of hops, citrus, grapefruit, pine, some hints of caramel and honey. Flavor is sweet and citrusy with notes of pine, grapefruit, hops. Generally medium body with a bitter hoppy finish. Good for an IPA style beer, but not what I envision when I think of Christmas or holiday beers. This is just too hoppy
