12/20/07: 12 oz bottle. Very impressive beer. Cloudy copper, nice head. Aroma is fruit, pine, citrus. Taste is hops. re-rate 11/5/2009: Deep reddish amber pour. White head that clings to the glass. Big strong hoppy flavor with some alcohol and caramel. Absolutely stunning beer, This beer makes me believe in jesus.

This is not an IPA, I have no idea why this is in this section. Aroma was limited. Heavy foam head. Color almost amber. For a general ale it’s fine but this is no IPA

Bottle. Amber colour with a large off-white head. Hoppy aroma with sweet fruity & piney notes. Hoppy taste with a sweet finish.

Tastes a bit old, possibly from the shelf, but it’s not too awful. I enjoyed the anniversary ale from Sierra Nevada a lot more, this is okay. It’s good, but I recommend trying the Samuel Smith’s Winter Ale. That is if you’re into winter type drinks. But enjoy this regardless.

Bottle 350 ml. Pours copper, a bit hazy. Large, close to white head. Hoppy aroma, maby a hint of yeast and alcohol. You can notice a hoppy citrus flavour, but the bitternes comes really early and takes control over your senses. A nice IPA, that would have gained on more flavouring hops.

NIce piney grapefruit aroma. Poured a clear copper with minimal head. Flavors were pine notes and some citrus. This is one of the floral IPA’s, as opposed to straight bitter - although there is a slight aspriny aftertaste at the back of the throat. The malts are subdued, which focused my palate on the hops. ON SECOND ANALYSIS (2008): This is a great IPA - its great that SN can make small batch beers for the holidays!

Bottle. Re-tested 090307. Orange color with a beige fluffy head. Aroma: Hops (very american), grape, pine, apricots, bitter oranges, caramel and some alcohol. Flavor: Very hoppy and caramely. Notes of grape, pine, dried fruit, alcohol, some breadiness. Dry and hoppy finish. Nice balance.

full bodied, brownish red color, white head that holds very nicely, overall one of the best ales i’ve had.
