Jan 5, 2008 Updated: Feb 18, 2008Poured a fairly standard copper color with a one-finger tall white head that struggled to maintain and only offered up minimal lacing. The aroma was a nice blend of sweet caramelly malts, light earthly, floral hops with some spice and barely any hint of the pine hops that would play such a massive role in this beer’s flavor. The flavor didn’t find the balance that the aroma did. A bitter hop assault. Decent mouthfeel and expectedly succinct finish.

Jan 3, 2008 Pours a reddish brown with a decent white head. Slightly hoppy, and the spices just come through a little bit but are balanced and offset by a little bitterness at the same time.

Jan 3, 2008 Beautiful burnished copper beer that is crystal clear and capped by a dense white head. Sweet citrusy aroma is followed by a sharp, piney bitternes in the taste. The malt structure comes through in the finish.

Jan 3, 2008 How have I not rated Celebration Ale yet? An annual favorite since 2004, this refers to the 2007 edition.
Pours a golden mahogany with tightly beaded head. Sweet, pungent citrus and other fruits dominate the aroma, although the molasses of the malt pokes through. The taste is warm, but not hot; bitter yet fruity; dark and earthy yet sweet. What balance there is in a lot of everything.
I look forward to this beer every xmas, and I’m never disappointed. I wish I could get it year-round.

Jan 2, 2008 Pours a hazy amber brown with a fairly small off white head. Aroma is citrusy hops like many other Sierra Nevada brews. Taste is both malty and very hoppy with a nice crisp bitter finish and a slight spicy note and of course citrus coming through. Very good beer.

Jan 1, 2008 Pours reddish amber with an active, frothy ivory head. There’s a clean caramel malt taste with some nice hop spiciness from (I think) chinook and cascade hops. Balance is good, finish is good...it certainly lives up to expectations.

Jan 1, 2008 Updated: Dec 7, 2008Great IPA. This IPA is very spicy, almost with some belian spices, bit of nutmeg and black pepper, but of course extremely subdued and hardly noticeable. Nice hops of fresh citrus and mild pine. No grassy taste which I like. Perfect carbonation gives it a great mouthfeel.

Dec 31, 2007 Light amber, huge head from bottle. Pleasant aroma and clean taste. Nice mix of hops/spices/malts. Clean finish. Very drinkable.
