Rustyham (545), miami, Florida, USA May 23, 2009 Spicy, light thin, no body. Hoppiness lasts, tho, in the back of the throat. Every Sierra Nevada Product tastes the same to me. This one has a little nutmeg added to the original recipe, I guess. WVHouseofBeer (337), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA May 22, 2009 Nice aroma of pine, hops, and citrus. Pours orange-red, with a pretty good size head. Flavor consists of big time hops and malt, and some citrus. Definitely one of the better winter seasonals that I have had. PJClarke (609), London, Greater London, England May 16, 2009 A 2008 bottle:
Spicy malt aromas. Ground ginger, pine, saunas and granola.
Spicy and lightly sour in the mouth. Roasty, toasty. Tangy little hops lend pine needles and resin.
The Yuletide edge here is meek but welcome. It gives the ale a little something interesting to carry it through. Slightly too light for a Christmas ale but it is a very tasty one. sigma23 (217), , Maine, USA May 14, 2009 i wasnt crazy about the spices in this one. pours red/brown with thick head. aroma is spice, malt, and hops. flavor is the same. good for the style, but im not crazy on spice beers Gary (352), Buckinghamshire, England May 8, 2009 Updated: Jun 22, 20092008 bottle...I musta drank this 300 times last summer. Who the hell drinks Christmas beers in summer ? I do.For some stange and awesome reason this was available @ several stores in the warmth . It got me playing festive tunes in July. Ive got a bottle right here. The bottle label is fuckiing classic. I wan’t to spend this Christmas in that cabin, drinking this beer. All that is good about American beer-right here.Nothing that festive about the beer in reality. Its a beautifuly aromatic IPA. Smells of grapefruit.Must.Pines. Tree bark and grass. Uncompromisingly dry,bitte/ Firm maltiness with late toffee sweetness. Oh God . tokyogoat (505), San Diego, California, USA May 5, 2009 Poured a red orange with a thick white head.
Smelled of pine and loemon zest.
Tasted of pine and hops, with a slight sweet malt.
Nothign exceptional, i’d have to say its a little overated, but a very solid beer.
Bought a six pack, drank one, will probably cellar thge rest. jbye4334 (652), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA May 1, 2009 (bottle). Pours a copper color. Medium off white head. Moderate lacing. Strong hoppy aroma. Hoppy and bitter taste. Smooth finish. Moderate carbonation. Duhast500 (176), , Massachusetts, USA Apr 16, 2009 had heard from many Baers that this was quite worth a try. I wanted to believe in my brethren so I gave it a try.
Color: Orange, Red, somewhat brown with a off white head. Very foamy and crisp.
Smell: Spicy, has a smell not unlike a Christmas cookie. Maybe somewhat like a Christmas tree. Piney, and very sweet. It made me a bit hungry for Christmas dinner.
Taste: The is a bitterness to it at first but celebration brings out the best the season has to offer with a earthy taste sweet, and yet a great tasty feel to it that it really feels like the best Christmas beer.
Celebration is a beer that really feels like someone is striving to capture the essence of Christmas, and just wanted to make a great beer as well. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this beer at first but I feel now that this beer is really one of the best beer experiences I’ve ever had. It’s like someone has bottled the Christmas season.
