Poured from a 12oz bottle into a tulip glass. Amber color, transparent with a big inch and half of white head. I smell hops, but it is not the citrus scent that normally goes with the hops. Unique smell for an IPA and in a good way. Tastes a little malty at the beginning but hops quickly take over. It ends with a nice biting bitterness. Crisp and light body at first, followed by a little softer texture. Moderate to higher carbonation. Now, after a few drinks of this the carbonation is a bit annoying. A good IPA. As a winter seasonal I tend to pick maltier beers over hoppy ones, but that is just a personal preference.

On bottle from Vimonopolet Norway. Deep golden color, slightly hazy with good foam. Medium/high Aroma intensity; hops, caramel, malt and some fruitiness . Medium body & complexity. Some immediate sweetness, Ok bitterness - ends up a little Bit too sweet. Very enjoyable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2016 Bottle. Hazy dark amber with nice lasting head. Aroma is caramalt, pine, floral and malt. Taste is much like the aroma but the malty parts stands out. For beeing a malty ipa I think its very good.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet’s BU. 2015 version, in other words, way too old... Pours close to clear copper. Medium sized, slightly orange head. Malt, orange and some metallic nose. Malt, herbs, some grapefruit, resin and pine flavour. Bitter. Medium, oily body, soft carbonation. Sadly, too old.

Bottle, Nov 2015. Amber color with big head. Aroma is herbal hops, piney, resinous, toasty malts. Taste is the same, quite bitter, nice toasty malt body. Bittersweet finish. More English than I would have expected from an American Fresh Hop IPA... Okay though. Why is this still within its European best before date?

Wenig Restbittre.

I took this for a wet hop ipa and drinking it just half changed my mind: aromas of ripe pineapple and a kind of wet hopped aspect to it, with its peppery and subtle honey notes. Taste brings more pineapple, honey and pepper. Very pronounced bitterness at the finish. Some alcohol fumes. Interesting flavour profile.
