3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: FEB 11, 2006 ’04 bottle. Pours a copper color with a HUGE off-white head that leaves rings of lace. Aroma is very hoppy and grapefruity. The predominant taste is of those grapefruity, resiny hops. Finishes with a nice citric bitterness. Fairly complex. Each sip brings something new. Not what I was expecting, though still pretty nice. Seems more like a summer brew. Original rating from 12/11/04: 6,3,7,3,16. Re-Rate: When I started on this site, I was almost exclusively a dark beer lover. I’ve become a serious Hop-Head in the time since I last had this beer. I love hops so much now that I had to buy a case (a rarity for me) of this beer that everyone is always raving about. I’m bumping the mouth-watering Cascade aroma up a couple of points and the palate and the overall up a point each. Everything else stays the same. I definitely appreciate this beer plenty more now (especially since a case is so affordable). What was I thinking with that "summer brew" comment?!

Geruch nach Hopfen, frischem Gras, weißen Trauben. Geschmack dann sehr bitter, vor allem im Nachgeschmack astringierend und seifig.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Geruch nach Citrus, leicht bedeckt. Im Antrunk nicht allzu suß, aber ein schöner Hopfenvorhang, der sich in den Rachen legt.
Ein bisschen grasig, aber langanhaltend bitter.

Nice sturdy brew with a wintery harsh roughness to it that is quite pleasant. Distinct bitterness that is somewhat harsh without becoming overwhelming.
