3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark reddish amber with a consistent film. Aroma is all hops. Big! Taste is hoppy with a nice malt backbone. Not too citrusy nicely balanced. Clean finish. This is a great beer. I look forward to it every year.
More beer please...

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From a growler poured into my ipa glass. Pours a light copper color with a thick foamy off white head that leaves great lacing. Smells of pine, grapefruit and resin. Tastes of all the same things with a good hop bite. Malts are there as well. Mouthfeel is slick and creamy with that carbonation and a dry finish. Itís been a few years since I had this amazing ipa. I wish this was year round. This is an ipa for hopheads. A little more hoppy compared to their other ipas. I like this itís nice to have an ipa as a winter seasonal instead of the typical spiced or winter warmers most breweries do.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a red/orange with abundant head. Fresh hop aroma right off the bat. Resinous, pine, and citrus notes are all present with a slight sweet malt too. Harmonious balance between the piney resinous hop bitterness and the malt backbone. Lingering flavors. One of the top beers to drink and one to look forward too every year.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a deep cloudy copper with a beautiful creamy, white foam cap. Aroma is on the lower intensity side for an IPA, with floral and citrus notes. Taste is a sweet caramel maltiness with a sharp hop bite and grapefruit finish. Mouthfeel is on the higher side for an IPA with a slight creaminess an moderate carbonation. Finish is definitively bitter with a grapefruit tart citrus character

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is all Sierra Nevada. Pours a beautiful orange color with a minimal head and decent lacing. Taste is hops and malt. Pretty well balanced IPA despite reviews that the malt is overpowering. Citrus. Grass. Pine malt and winter warmth. Better than the wet hop seasonal from founders. Good

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a copper color with a white head. Hoppy, piney, grassy aromas. Fresh hop, piney flavors with a caramel malt backbone. I always kind of avoided this beer because I was never a fan of the idea of IPAs as winter seasonals. But it is a nice beer.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
pours a rich mahogany with a thick fluffy toffee colored head. Aroma is overpowered by the malt... so is the flavor. still, a fantastic beer.. just not really an IPA by IPA standards. Loses a lot of points based on style, but overall itís a winner.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
A: fresh hops hit the nose first but malt is the predominant aroma here. A: pours a burnt orange with a big rocky head that leaves thick lacing. T: slight hop taste, more malty than I like. P: medium bodied with average carbonation. O: not nearly as good as last years or the year before (at least what I remember). Still though a nice balanced ipa for the season. Will get next year.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Aroma is slightly subdued citrus. Hop flavors are leveled out by a big malt backbone. Very drinkable with a nice flavor profile. I was expecting a big fresh/dry hop beer, but this is more balanced and is quite tasty.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Serving type: bottle
A: pours a copper & orange color that I found very appealing. A one to two finger head that last a while with good lacing.
S: piney citrus flavors for sure, with some roasted malt to balance it out.
T: again, I get a lot of pine and citrus flavors that really work with this brew. with a bready malt backbone. A little resin flavor to.
O: I loved this beer, I think it's a great autumn / winter style IPA! This beer will be retuning to my fridge in years to come!

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a very nice deep orange. Aroma is muted hops with not much else. Taste is crisp California hops with a bitter finish. Palate is fresh and mild citrus up front with a hop finish with a bitterness that lingers. A classic Sierra Nevada Ale.
