Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale

[Vintage 2001 - sampled 2004] A hazy deep red beer with a small light brown disappearing head. The aroma is sweet with notes of fruit and alcohol. The flavor is fruity with notes of strawberries, without much sweetness, but a good hoppyness, that gives it a very dry end.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a clear, dark amber with a small, off-white head. Fat, hoppy aroma. Rather full-bodied, lightly burned caramel flavour with an underlying sweetness. Very dominated by the hop blend without being overly bitter - somewhat muddy hop character. 020706

Hoppy, bitter nose. Hoppy, bitter aroma. Hoppy, bitter flavour. Finishes hoppy and bitter. Lovely.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange to brown with a dense, creamy and slowly collapsing off-white head. Sweet caramel and pinewood hoppy to grapefruity hops aroma. Sweet, dense caramel flavoured base with a distinct grapefruity hops note swept through. Mild pinewood hops note. Medium dry and slight wooden to solid bitter dry finish. Good body and nice balance.

Bottle. Unclear medium amber color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, grass, pine / citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottled (2005). Dark amber colour, small white head. Strong fruitish hoppy aroma. Strong fruitish hoppy flavour. Pleasant fruity aftertaste. Wellbalanced, and not too bitterish hoppy. Rather smooth and pleasant IPA.

Bottle. Very spicy, hoppy aroma. Brown colour. Long bitter aftertaste. Creamy mouthfeel.

Orange colour with a small beige head. Aroma of malt, hops and fruit. Malty flavour with notes of fruit, that ends up with a nice and lasting bitter finish. Nice IPA.
