Quite suprised to see this still kicking about in Sainsburys amongst all of the more usual bitters and summer ale varieties now out. Pours a nice orangey colour and has a great spicey aroma, but it was the taste that really did it for me a really bitter sweet taste like when you make your own toffee and have left it too long the sugars changing in it and it devolps that bitterness about it, anyway that come over really heavily in this beer and was absolutely fab’ almost chewy in taste quite an interesting beer. I have had this before but forgotten how good it was. CapFlu (3494), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

Orange colour. Intense, flowery, grapey, mandariney, hopuicy ooozing hoparoma.
Fruity and flavourful, with pine, citrus, mandarin and maybe purpurgrenadilla. Flavour and mouthfeel is perfect, with perfect balance of malt and hops. Semi-dry finish, because of the hops. Seemed to have a bigger body than DFH 60. (That’s for sure)This is the archetype and the holy grail of the American Style India Pale Ale. It oozes from malt and hops, and is incredibly balanced at that! I really beliveve this is the perfect beer for me. Fantastic beer!
