This is a great great beer. Absolutely beautiful rubin, reddish color. Nice head. Very spicey and bitter. I am really loving the hoppy IPA’s and this one is a madman regarding amounts of hops. However it is still refreshing and fruity. Amazing complexity!!

Bottle: I can’t believe I’ve not rated this previously. Nice shiny orange-red-amber with a pock-marked foamy head. Wonderfully enticing warm, hoppy nose. And with the first swallow, I’m carried away in this beer’s sharp citric tastiness and a smackingly dry finish. Solidly well rounded, this is a fantastic beer. (#3233, 12/3/2007)

2003 VINTAGE: Hoppy all the way! I didn't expect a winter seasonal to be so hoppy, but I was delighted. Reminds me of ruination, but this is more balanced. The aroma jumped out at me from the glass - 3 feet away!

This has to be my favorite of the winter beers this year. I wish that this one would stick around longer, I went to my favorite pub and it was already gone. Damn!
