obguthr (707), Poquoson, Virginia, USA Nov 11, 2007 Nice grapefruit and thistle aroma, with traces of caramel. Shimmering amber with a thick yellow head, good lacing. Grapefuit peel taste that starts weak and builds to decent strength. Bitter pine and somewhat bready finish. Very little complexity, but nicely hopped.
nbutler11 (164), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Sep 8, 2008 Pours like a saison from the bottle with gorgeous tan lacing, but smells like an IPA for sure. Loaded with hops and notes of raspberry and green grapes. I’m not a fan of IPAs, but found this brew highly drinkable. stchloe (136), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 7, 2008 Mmmm...bitter but not specifically so. Unimpressed with this brewery. Where a microbrewery meets corporate success. Rune_Stumo (85), FØRRESFJORDEN, Norway Aug 30, 2008 30.08.2008, 0,35l, Bottle. 2007 edition, BB 0810/08A. Golden amber colour with some haze. The beer has almost no head, but it is lively carbonated. Malt and citrus aroma, or is it orange? The bitter hops dominate the aftertaste. ajm (341), USA Aug 29, 2008 Super-dee-duper. Bottle from Wally’s in Westwood. Easily the prettiest IPA I have ever encountered: a deep mahogany readies one for a much more alien beer. A blast of sweet hops (alphas?), apple, cranberry peel greet the mouth upon consumption. A beer whose very existence demands celebration. timsilvia32 (211), born in Michigan, North Carolina, USA Aug 28, 2008 Clear amber pour, good whitish head. Malty, hop aromas let you know what to expect. A little bitey, but finishes clean. Kind of like a good version of their pale.
