2002 edition. Just had my first taste of the season. It made me want to sing "America, the Beautiful!" This is an All American Beer. Don’t wait for the hops to mellow out, drink it now. A wonderful brew!

355 ml bottle from Bier-Deluxe.de
Copper, moderate hazy body, with a big, creamy, off-white head.
Aroma of sweet berries, peach, some tropical fruits, biscuit, some bubblegum, soap.
Tastes of citrus candy, pine, peach, berries, orange, biscuit, black tea, some spices and wood.
Medium, quite creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes bitter, subtly sweet malty, a bit dry, piney, quite zesty, a bit spicy.

Very tasty! Surprisingly malty, while there are still loads of fruity and piney hops. Pretty unique, with a very distinctive, bitter-sweet-spicy balance, that on the one hand fits the christmas season perfectly and on the other hand makes this an easily recognisable beer, I guess. Overall even better than I expected!

Celebration Fresh Hop Ale. So muss ein Fresh Hop sein, ausgeprägte Hopfennote, frisch. Sehr gut.

350ml bottle, vintage 2013, from a forgotten place in my cellar. Thanks to djoeye. Rocky off-white head blanketing the glass. Close to clear amber coloured body. Mid-sweet grapefruit, wood, and brown malts on the nose. Mild spiced dried fruits, citrus peels, caramel and bread are present to the taste buds. Smooth leafy hop bitterness to the finish. Pleasing and with fine drinkability (Tromsø 29.01.2015).

Bottle labelled "2014" from a Wild Plum shop in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Pours orange-amber with a nice persisting, off-white head that leaves a lot of lacing. Lots of hops here, with citrus, grapefruit, pine on strong malt base that balances the heavy bitterness. The taste is heavy bitter with a smooth, full body, not unlike an IIPA.

Draft - Fresh Woody and leafy notes. Clear gold with a rich white head. Woody, vegative and bitter with some pale malts. This tastes a bit old and stale, will try again.

Let’s dispense with the pretenses and admit that despite its size, Sierra Nevada puts out a great product . Celebration is no exception. 2-3 of these will have you flying high. The taste for me isn’t quite as good as the Torpedo double IPA. It’s a little spicier, but it’s nice to have a season alternative to Torpedo.

Pours amber with a white head. Light to medium body. A good amount of bitterness from the hops with hints of citrus, ginger and nutmeg and finishes sweet.
