One of my favorites one of the best treats during holdiay season. Aroma not real strong but hoppy smell hints on how great it tastes - sweet but not overly floral like many an IPA. Appearance is an attractive cloudy amber with a thin consistant head

12 oz bottle into tulip. Minneapolis. Appearance: Brown/copper in color. Moderate hazy to the beer. Large white head with superior retention. Aroma: Hops - mostly bitter pine and grapefruit, some grass. Taste: Mildly bitter the whole way through. Dry. Palate: Medium/light body. Average carbonation. Long finish. Overall: More bitter than other reviews lead me to believe. Hops profile is very piney. Generally a decent beer to drink, especially for the price.

Nose is spicy, fruity hops. Flavor is dank, melon, grassy, bready, biscuity, doughy, caramel, mild grapefruit rind. Really well balanced.

Extremely well balanced IPA. Every note shines through at the same level - not overly bitter. Refreshing, mild spice profile coming from the hops, crisp and refreshing, taste a little bit of green apple rind - the same amount of very subtle bitterness.

UPDATED: OCT 28, 2014 Update 10/27/14 - Sierra Nevada has ruined this beer! As a longtime fan and fiend I feel confident saying this tastes nothing at all like it used to and did as recently as 2012. There is NO aroma and very little hop flavor aside from some minor mt hood/chinook and sublte cascade contributions. I am so disappointed I might just cry in my glass. Same failings as this year’s Northern Hemisphere Wet Hop Ale, possibly used the same hop crop. Skip it, write to them and complain and hope they bring this back to it’s previous glory! 2012 and earlier releases - One of a short list of longtime favorites. Freshly bottled Celebration packs a big hoppy aroma, flavor, and an abundance of bitterness. As it ages, this beer takes on varied and enjoyable flavor nuances as the bitterness mellows. I tend to buy this whenever it’s available.

2014 is a good brew year. Good looking dark amber color offset by a quarter inch white header. Smooth taste-Nice piney and crisp feel in the mouth. If you are looking for a hop bomb this is not it. But it is a very good and nice beer to enjoy with company.

2 full fingers of white fluffy head. Nice copper color with immediate lacing. Aroma is lots of grapefruit and some pine. Taste is much the same very clean with lemon and grapefruit. Slight alcohol warmth ont eh back end. This is a world class IPA that often gets overlooked.

"i think this beer is quite a bit better than their regular ipa or flagship pale ale. it’s got a better aroma, and a nicer all around, hoppy flavor. their second best beer."
