Pours a dark amber with a gorgeous almost inch and a half of head and awesome lacing all the way down. The smell is of citrus hops and toast. The first taste to hit the tongue is the citrus hops followed by more piny hops. The malty breadyness follows almost immediately and blends with the hops with just a touch of spice to make for a nice, smooth finish. This one is just about perfect in the mouth if not just a tad heavy on the carbonation. Man I love this beer. Definitely one of the best IPAs Iíve had in a while and hits just right on a cold Buffalo day.

Pours a clear amber-gold, with medium head. Floral aroma, with pine and citrus--very fresh and biting. Flavor is very bitter-pine, some citrus, a good bit of underlying malt sweetness. Really nice IPA.

12 oz bottle pours a bright, clear amber with a small head. Citrus hop aromas and sweet malts. Taste is oranges, hay, pine and grapefruit. Moderately bittered, yet ultimately very smooth. Very fresh tasting. Great IPA!

I am rating the 2014 version, poured from a bottle. Pours somewhere between a dark golden and light brown color. Head isnít that large, but is a nice white color and comprised of tiny bubbles that stick around for quite a long time. Light aroma of pine and grass. Nice, full bodied flavor. Start rich and creamy in the mouth and finishes with a subtle but noticeable sour hop finish. Flavor is not overpowering but is well developed and the different flavors blend together nicely. Honestly, I think the aroma may be the weakest point of this beer, which is odd for an IPA. This a very solid beer and Iím happy to drink this type of IPA when itís cold outside (like tonight).

Bottle from ABC. Pours a beautiful hazy amber with a perfect frothy head and some great lacing as well. Aromas are a glorious combination of pine, citrus, and flower. Taste is sweet at first with a strong bitter finish with staying power. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, creamy and utterly satisfying. This has been my favorite beer for years, now, and Sierra Nevada once again have reminded me why. Iíll be stocking up soon. Acquire.

A full pine hop aroma that goes well with the bready malt. Color is a deep orange almost amber with good lacing on the pour. Taste is citrus with a lot of pine notes from the hops but not an overpowering hop bomb. Balances well with the malt. Very refreshing and worth drinking again.

Look: pours a very clear light copper. Off white head. Very thick lacing. Smell: very sweet aroma. Piney. Light citrus. Tropical fruit. Taste: piney. Light onion. Grass. Feel: dry. Medium carbonation. Overall: not a bad beer. Looking for stronger fruit taste. Not as strong of a west coast ipa as I thought. First drank: home 11/15/14

Picked up a sixer as I felt this was a popular seasonal that I had yet to enjoy. Bottle pours a deep copper with good carbonation and a deep white head. The lacing here is fantastic. Clings satisfyingly to the glass. A really well balanced fresh hop IPA. The amount of balance between the hops and caramel malts along with a bitter back end is remarkable. Lots to celebrate here.

12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, bottled on 10/2/2014. Pours slightly hazy deep orange/amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, pine, caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of juicy citrus/floral hops and moderate dark/bready malt sweetness; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, pine, caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fair amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light pine, caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/floral hops and moderate dark/brady malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and fairly creamy/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent wet hop IPA. All around great complexity and balance of juicy citrus/floral hops and moderate dark/bready malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
