Looks good, feels good, but a bit tart, almost snappy, on the taste-good side. A solid ale though if you don't like the malty, thick normal holiday seasonal ale. Good content for a fun time ale and a good color. Makes good conversation --- one of a kind holiday pale ale perhaps?

Bottle into a tulip glass. Pour is a honey amber with a thick head. Aroma is thick and robust Malts. Taste is a warm roasted malt with a nice bitter back bone. Finish is warm.

UPDATED: JUN 20, 2014 Hazy amber color with big white head. Grassy, hoppy and fruity nose. Aroma is again, grassy, hoppy, fruity and herbal. Strong bitter kick and bitter finish. Bitter all the way. Medium body, soft carbonation. Kind of creamy. Very nice.

Kita (977) - Koper, SLOVENIA - JUN 7, 2014
Bottle, 0.35l. Hazy deep amber color with medium frothy tan-like head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of citrus, pine, berries and bready malt. Taste starts sweet malty with toffee and caramel notes, following is fresh fruity and piney with alcohol notes, mouthfeel is spicy, while finish is medium bitter with neverending aftertaste. Full body, oily texture and average natural carbonation in palate. Celebration of hops...

Piney with a bit of plum follow the amber pour. Retains nice head. Sweetness also on the nose. Got citrus and bitterness on the tongue. Easy finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from a hunter valley bottle shop's "tunnel of beer". It was the last bottle and I nearly didn't buy it......glad I did.

From memory (2011 version, I think). Bottle. Citrusy and seriously piney. Responsible for starting my love of good beer. Subsequent reincarnations just as good. 2012 version on draft in Queens NYC even better.

Pours a nice copper color with white head. Citrus, pine, and some straw notes on the nose; follow onto the palate. I’m also picking up a flowery note here and there. Very good, very complex.
