4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
So I like Sierra Nevada. A high quality brewery with a number of good offerings. But I always approach seasonals with a degree of skepticism. They tend to be seasonal because you wouldn’t want to drink this beer all year round. Not with this tasty brew.
Very aromatic with citrus and some bread notes. Some maltiness comes through too.
A very beautiful beer with a tremendous white head and medium amber color. Initially sweet but the hops kick in right away with a beautiful medium bitterness that lingers for a long time. Very smooth in your mouth. Creamy for an ale this hoppy. Very drinkable. After trying a bottle that my brother gave me, I bought a 12-pack. I look forward to one almost every day now. It doesn’t grow old. Excellent

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a copper color with a white head. Hoppy, piney, grassy aromas. Fresh hop, piney flavors with a caramel malt backbone. I always kind of avoided this beer because I was never a fan of the idea of IPAs as winter seasonals. But it is a nice beer.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
pours a rich mahogany with a thick fluffy toffee colored head. Aroma is overpowered by the malt... so is the flavor. still, a fantastic beer.. just not really an IPA by IPA standards. Loses a lot of points based on style, but overall it’s a winner.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
A: fresh hops hit the nose first but malt is the predominant aroma here. A: pours a burnt orange with a big rocky head that leaves thick lacing. T: slight hop taste, more malty than I like. P: medium bodied with average carbonation. O: not nearly as good as last years or the year before (at least what I remember). Still though a nice balanced ipa for the season. Will get next year.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Aroma is slightly subdued citrus. Hop flavors are leveled out by a big malt backbone. Very drinkable with a nice flavor profile. I was expecting a big fresh/dry hop beer, but this is more balanced and is quite tasty.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Serving type: bottle
A: pours a copper & orange color that I found very appealing. A one to two finger head that last a while with good lacing.
S: piney citrus flavors for sure, with some roasted malt to balance it out.
T: again, I get a lot of pine and citrus flavors that really work with this brew. with a bready malt backbone. A little resin flavor to.
O: I loved this beer, I think it's a great autumn / winter style IPA! This beer will be retuning to my fridge in years to come!

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a very nice deep orange. Aroma is muted hops with not much else. Taste is crisp California hops with a bitter finish. Palate is fresh and mild citrus up front with a hop finish with a bitterness that lingers. A classic Sierra Nevada Ale.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours redish orange with a surprisingly muted aroma for a whole hop treatment. Huge head and lasting lace. Nice medium-to-full bodied malt base, ending with a creamy, just the right touch of bitterness finish. This is nice example of more malt than hop in an American IPA.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
I had this at Global Brew. Pours orangish with a off white head. Taste sweet Carmel, citrus, pine. I thought this was good. I would drink this again.
