COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale represents a time honored tradition of brewing a special beer for the holiday season. There are generous portions of barley malts and fine whole hops of several varieties, creating a brew with a full, rich and hearty character.

This beer was an impulse buy prompted by a surprisingly low price. I took note of the brewery and little else. It should come as no surprise, then, that I expected a very malty beer with little hop presence and a very full body. It seems a large number of beers brewed for the holiday season fit into that mold. The initial aroma did little to convince me otherwise. My wife disagrees with the mild aroma assessment, so maybe I’m imagining that (or have a cold or something). Anyway... Wow. Lurking beneath the mild aroma was a mouthful of hops. The body is medium-light and the head is soft and seems to last forever. But the hops... There is almost no balance contributed by the malts, and for me, that is a good thing. A little more in the area of aroma might be desired (if for no other reason but as a warning to unsuspecting drinkers), but overall, this could easily be my favorite beer for now. Had I known at the time of purchase that this beer was this good, I would have picked up a case or seven.

Bottle. Pours amber, hazy, sligthly tan frothy head, decent lacing. Faint aroma: hoppy/citrusy, some fruitiness, milk (?). Taste: bread & caramel, grapefruit, spruce, tropical fruits, spices. Very nice.

I REALLY like this beer. One of my all-time favorite IPAs is Smuttynose (Finestkind), and Celebration is right up there, but with a darker, richer, spicier character. Hoppy with a perfectly delicious bitter finish, A great holiday season/winter IPA that could easily be enjoyed year-round.

Nice looking amber beer with a thick foamy off white head. Rather tepid nose of light citrus, candied orange peel, and hints of spice, but you have to really search for it. Thankfully, the flavor is more pronounced with a resinous hop bite up front followed by light caramel malt that finishes with some nutmeg and cinnamon. Pretty good beer.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle. Clear orange with a 3-finger off-white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of tropical fruit, pineapple, citrus and hay. Taste of pine, citrus, tropical fruit, pineapple and floral hops. Full/medium body and medium/low carbonization. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 0,355L. Foggy orange colour with large off-white, frothy head. Aroma of sweet tropical fruits - pineapple, tangerine, orange, peach and honey. Taste starts moderate bitter with a lot of grapefruit and orange. Finish is heavy bitter. Medium body, dry texture and soft carbonation.

Wonderful beer for Christmas. Lots of malts and hops that have given this beer and complex mix that comes across so smooth and tasty.

Pours a clear amber-gold, with medium head. Floral aroma, with pine and citrus--very fresh and biting. Flavor is very bitter-pine, some citrus, a good bit of underlying malt sweetness. Really nice IPA.
