COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale represents a time honored tradition of brewing a special beer for the holiday season. There are generous portions of barley malts and fine whole hops of several varieties, creating a brew with a full, rich and hearty character.

This beer was an impulse buy prompted by a surprisingly low price. I took note of the brewery and little else. It should come as no surprise, then, that I expected a very malty beer with little hop presence and a very full body. It seems a large number of beers brewed for the holiday season fit into that mold. The initial aroma did little to convince me otherwise. My wife disagrees with the mild aroma assessment, so maybe I’m imagining that (or have a cold or something). Anyway... Wow. Lurking beneath the mild aroma was a mouthful of hops. The body is medium-light and the head is soft and seems to last forever. But the hops... There is almost no balance contributed by the malts, and for me, that is a good thing. A little more in the area of aroma might be desired (if for no other reason but as a warning to unsuspecting drinkers), but overall, this could easily be my favorite beer for now. Had I known at the time of purchase that this beer was this good, I would have picked up a case or seven.

Very rich aroma, reddish colour with a white lasting head. Medium to full bodied with an equal balance of hops and malt, bitter in the front with fades to a good malt backbone.

Bottle from Damian Beer. Amber color with medium off-white head. Nice citrus hoppy aroma with malty notes. Taste, solid malt backbone with caramel, followed by light citrus hoppy touch with herbal notes. medium long hoppy bitter finish with herbal touch. Good, but not stellar.

A nice, dark amber colour, bordering on red ale colours with a creamy beige head. Beautiful hoppy aroma, lots of sweet malt scents with hints of cinnamon and a piney undertone. Very malty, biscuit and toffee to taste with a pine and citrus pinch as a result of the hops. Well balanced. A nice velvety finish, creamy almost. Subtle carbonation and those malts make for a melt in your mouth crescendo.

Láhev 355 ml. Aroma je příjemně chlebové s jemným závanem zrajícího sýra. Pěna je zlato bílá, jemná, vysoká a držící. Barva samotného piva je sytě měděná a jemně kalná. Chuť je bohatá, má příjemný sladový základ s chutným komponentem šťávy z exotického ovoce a jemným nádechem vlašských ořechů, finiš je příjemně chmelově hořký a držící. V ústech pivo působí plně, má střední říz a je dobře pitelné. Jaká to lahodná IPA, opravdu velmi povedené pivo.

I liked this better than their regular IPA as well, maybe not as hoppy with some spices added instead to make it a tad sweeter. May be better than their regular pale ale as well. Pours a redish-copper color. A nice bitter-sweet flavor. A decent seasonal winter brew.

Deep orange colored and a little hazy beer with a huge 4-finger high beige, fluffy, head. A LOT of lacing stays on the glass! Nose: Tropical fruit, orange marmelade, caramel malt, bread and pine. Taste: Bitter hops, dried fruit, red berries, pine, caramel malt and grapefruit. Body: Medium body and carbonation. Great taste with balanced bitterness and sweetness. Great beer!
