shadey (1365), Rochester, New York, USA Mar 8, 2008 12oz bottle purchased at Beers of the World. The pour is a nice orange/amber with a thin lacy head of white cream. The aroma is nicely hoppy and grassy with hints of the sweet malt that awaits. I’m expecting a very refreshing beer.<br />
The flavor is grassy hops, caramel malt, and and a dry grassy finish. I wasn’t expecting such high alcohol from an ESB, but I can’t taste it, so I guess it’s not so bad. A nice American-ized ESB.
milljam (166), Norman, Oklahoma, USA Nov 28, 2008 Not really anywhere near an actual English ESB. Overall, nothing really stood out. jimmack34 (158), Ohio, USA Nov 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours a rich copper color with slight off white head. Smells hoppy and sweet. Tastes like bread grains, sweet malts, bittersweet hops, a little sugary. Very good. Rich, malty beer, full of grainy flavour. Ending up in a dry, well hopped finish. Very nice. Hansen (1828), Randers, Denmark Oct 23, 2008 Copper colour and clear. Has a white head, mostly lasting.
