Delirium (439), Santa Cruz, California, USA Mar 6, 2008 Updated: Mar 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours a nice orange-amber with a thick fluffy white head. Aroma is the typical ESB pale malts but with rather more hops than usual, with a nice woody undertone. Flavor is bitter, woody hops up front, mellowing into a bit of semi-sweet malt in the middle and finish. I might actually call this more of an APA than an ESB, especially in the flavor, but it’s pretty good in either case.
milljam (166), Norman, Oklahoma, USA Nov 28, 2008 Not really anywhere near an actual English ESB. Overall, nothing really stood out. jimmack34 (158), Ohio, USA Nov 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours a rich copper color with slight off white head. Smells hoppy and sweet. Tastes like bread grains, sweet malts, bittersweet hops, a little sugary. Very good.
