Clear amber with a fairly large rocky head. Big inviting hoppy citric aroma. Slightly sweet initially with some malty caramel present, but balanced with a decent amount of grapefruit bitterness. An unexpected long dry finish lends this beer a level of nuance that I hadn’t anticipated. Think a decent no nonsense bitter, but with a dash of sophistication and complexity.

Nov 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours a rich copper color with slight off white head. Smells hoppy and sweet. Tastes like bread grains, sweet malts, bittersweet hops, a little sugary. Very good.

Rich, malty beer, full of grainy flavour. Ending up in a dry, well hopped finish. Very nice.

Oct 23, 2008 Copper colour and clear. Has a white head, mostly lasting. Aroma is mainly sweet, hoppy notes. Flavor starts lightly sweet and finish moderate bitter. Dry texture.

Oct 15, 2008 Bottle at EBF. Hazy golden, small fizzy head. Cookie like, honeyish nose, little sulphur and hops. Clean malty flavor, fruity hops, yeast. Quite boring, sterile bitter. Medium bodied, fizzy carbonation.
