Dark copper pour, thick, sticky slightly off-white head that leaves generous lacing. Good strong spruce aroma with floral hints. Flavor is bold and bitter with a good citrusy grapefruit bite, some maple syrup, and a hint of caramel. Thick, sticky mouthfeel. Very decent. BNSLY (43), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

This smells and tastes FRESH. I believe that they they take the "estate" concept of growing everything on their own property seriously! JoeTheYounger (304), California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 13, 2009 I was excited to try this but was kinda let down. It was just ok. I enjoyed the southern hemisphere more. Poured an amber color with thin white head. Aroma of faint citrus hops and caramel sweetness. Taste of pine hops, caramel, with small amount of bitterness. Medium carbonation. Dmalone102 (223), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Oct 12, 2009 I was actually really disapointed. These Harvest beers have been nothing but incredible, until I tasted this one, bummer.
Aroma- Pine, bread crust, green apple esters, but Pine hops dominate, fairly sharp as well.
Appearance- Clear, Amber, light tan head is rocky. Appearance is probably the best aspect of the beer.
Taste- Extremely bitter. Hops are sharp and tangy, not floral or citric. Little sweetness and medium malt flavor, like toast. Bitterness is hard to get around.
Palate- Medium body, moderate carbonation. Sharp, bitter taste makes it hard to drink.
Overall- Did I get a rough bottle? It wasn’t very good. Maybe I’ll try to grab another. These Sierra Nevada harvest beers usually get gulped up, I had to choke this one down.
