Hazy amber, foaming head and heavy lacing. Aroma is grapefruit hop, somewhat faded. Hops flavors lean toward piney and heavily bitter at the finish. Biscuit malt background is just there, though there’s a hint of caramel sweetness, tastes almost like crystal malt though I wouldn’t definitely say its in there. Foamy fluffy mouthfeel.

Pours a vibrant and hazy orange, with a frothy head. The aroma is strong and sweet with hops. A decent amount of citrus in it. The taste is hit me hard up front with bitterness and and hard bite at the end. A little too pine tasting for me.

Orange pour with thick head. Nice nose of grapefruit. First taste is nicely pale that finishes cleanly bitter. Very fresh rating and clean.

Tasty Pale Ale. Tastes of pine and lemon. It had an earthiness to it. Good carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours orange amber with an off-white head. Smells of grapefruit, a little grass, spicy, toasty and a hint of caramel. Taste is grapefruit, maybe a hint of lemon, grass, earthy, spicy/peppery, toasty malt and caramel. Slightly resinous hop bitterness. Really smooth and finishes with a nice dryness. Great hop aromas and flavors; so smooth and well balanced. Awesome.

On tap @ BJ’s (!) Montebello. Clear, amber color. Dense, off white head with good lacing. Aroma’s: aromatic hops, a bit resin, with some malty sweetness for balance. Retronasal the hop is more earthy. Flavor: light to medium bitter with a light sweetness. Medium bodied. Finishes a bit grainy at first, then develops slowly into a lasting firm bitterness. Well crafted & flavorful.

Poured an orange/amber hue with white head. Smelled of citrus and had some notes of bread. Tasted of pine and lemon, but also had a spiciness similar to wasabi.

750ml bottle 2012, poured into my snifter beautifully. Clear, but deep amber colored, red almost. Atop sits a four finger, serious head. Creamy and off white, looks gorgeous. Aroma is off the charts. Fresh, earthy and citrusy hops and toasty, oatmeal-like malted barley. The effort and craftsmanship of this beer are extrodinary. The taste pulls out tons of unique flavors from the wet hopping process, crisp grapefuit rind bitterness, balanced nicely by vanilla earthy sweetness, toasty caramel malts back it up nicely. Smells and tastes hand crafted, hand made, home brewed! The mouthfeel is outstanding, nice full body and great carbonation. This is a fantastic beer, I’m glad I got to try this super fresh IPA even though I’m on the opposite side of the country.
